If crossing the straps doesn’t work, you can also put the straps through an elastic hair tie on the back that will tighten it while allowing some give. 😊
Isn’t it awesome having a helpful hubby? I’m fortunate enough to have one as well. You have such a beautiful studio with all the light flooding in. I wish I had a space with more natural light. What a lovely story about the lady from New Brunswick. I was thinking that a good name for her painting would be ‘The Angel of New Brunswick’. After all, she could have just kept the painting but did the right thing.
If you sew or know someone that does, have bottonholes made on the straps above the original ones. Or don't have them hiked up so high. Wear the bottom lower to tighten the straps
He’s so serious! Lol😂 so cute…you are blessed to have such a trooper for a hubby! Btw… keep your strokes with the multi-dips of paint in your abstracts as they will more reflect your style. That’s your signature look girl!!❤
I have those overalls! I love them! If you use the longest button hole, you should be able to cross the straps across the back and button them on the opposite buttons. I get so many compliments on them if I wear them in public. Mostly ladies will say "I love your overalls!" and I reply "They are so comfy it's like wearing jammies out in public!" and that usually gets a chuckle. *waving from across the lake ~~Catherine
I used to be on a swim team. When our suit straps would fall, we would take a shoestring and put it under the straps in the back, bring it up and tie it in a bow. It will work until you get the straps altered.
@@juliaveenstraartistis it back to front, seeing you with hubby putting up the board?! Cross straps and button at back🙈👏🤣 edit: absolutely LOVE the tall painting at the very end, gorrrrgeous❤
Julia what is on the back of the circles for hanging. I bought circled wood panels but I don't paint on them to sell yet because I don't know how to hang them.
Wow very nice studio .i like that.i still always follow you channel. I want to ask One questions what colour you tone the canvas. Any Red can to be use ?
Fyi I used large bull dog clips to attach canvas to my plywood. I did have something between the plywood and the wall that created the ability to use them. It was an h frame the plywood was attached to. This allowed me to quickly change canvases. No staples.
They make bra clips for between the shoulders to wear tank tops and bra straps not show. I think they'd work out great for you to keep the straps from falling down. Good luck Julia! I love your work and inspiration.
Tie a knot or two in your straps and that will help to shorten them or you can have your husband bunch up the strap while you're wearing it and have him staple it. :D
