With all the skilled fabrication you did, im really surprised you didn't make it double wishbone front suspension, the single wishbone with fixed hub suffers from track toe-in when the suspension is compressed.
Extremely nice work. Very clean looking results. Great video. That said, it obviously took a lot of man hours, materials, and money to build this machine. But in the end, other than being larger framed, what does this rig offer or do that the quad didn't already do before you reconstructed it? Still has the same quad engine, the same gas tank and seat, the same tires, and carries one person. It likely doesn't run faster or perform any better than the original quad. So why go to all the trouble to build this machine? I'd just as soon have the original quad. And, if I wanted a larger quad, then I could have sold the old one and put all the money invested in the reconstruction toward a new, larger ATV.
I would like you to send me a video of how to do it and connected in slow motion I liked this video I only have the doubt about the brakes I did not see where they put them thanks for your attention is from colombia🇨🇴
Are thrown into the bin along with any round tubing or thoughts of bending said round... I learned everything I know about proper rear suspension/steering geometry along with metal fabrication bending and welding from this platform.. my tools are just a simple if not simpler yet my homemade quad and all other 4 wheeled builds turn when I turn the wheels not because of a differential or access to better parts but because of proper Caster, camber, sai, Ackerman, scrub radius for a given wheel base, width, and weight distribution. Also, my projects that include rear suspension do not have chain tension issues (not because of any jackshaft or complex chain tensioner but simple geometry) nor do they try to lift or bury the tire under acceleration or braking.. if you want a real exaggerated example of how proper steering geometry can really make a difference look into how (well built) racing mowers turn very well with live rear axles and most of the weight on the rear.. even racing go karts are very heavily rear bias yet they can turn on a dime. It is because on a well built cart the inside front tire will dig in. this works with suspension too look at how quads are made with lots of caster, 0 camber for straight line stability but when turned the sai and caster along with Ackerman and usually excessive scrub radius all act together to push the inside tire into the ground and camber the wheels in a way that gives the front wheels leverage over the rear axles... My face is now blue 🤣
