Making Automatic Blast Gates for my Woodshop + Electrical Work and answering FAQ 

I built some automatic dust collection blast gates for my woodworking machines because the manual ones were just too annoying. The blast gates were made from Baltic birch plywood and PVC tubing. The wooden parts were manufactured on a Stepcraft M700 CNC router. The electrical box contains a power supply to provide 12V DC for the linear actuator of the blast gate, a reverse polarity relay and a time relay to delay closing the blast gates and applying 12V either to the “close” or the “open” terminal of the RPR.
