I got the templates for the republic commando armor as well. How does it scale? Or for average size is it meant? Im 192 cm/ 6ft something? Would it need to be scaled up?

really nice. my only problem was that i thought that the clone commandos visor was just a little bit to wide at the top. but overall i thought that they looked really nice

Hey Jayden a little note. The Kwik Seal has some chemicals that may not be good for your skin. So you can do that same “dip your finger in some water” method but maybe put on some latex gloves over your skin to protect it.

Technically, they are skin-safe, but should not be left to dry ON the skin. Always wash thoroughly after crafting with chem, folks?

Something I must admit that I do, is that I don't buy visors. Usually I can't, so I grab clear folders and cover the buggers in sharpie and it kinda pulls off alright

an instructional run down and or number the edges on your template would greatly help with the piecing together process.. i've rewatched the video several times but a still having trouble getting it together

Have you opened the pepakura file? It includes both the ability to view and reference the 3d model as well as turn on edge numbering if you prefer!

If you are using corrugated cardboard, you just have to look at where you apply the corrugated board when you go to fold, that will help you to make it look smooth. If you want to give it a more rigid appearance, after you have it assembled, you can apply epoxy resin, sand smooth, apply primer and paint.

My head size is about 24" around. The Hunter helmet was a tad under sized for me, so bear that in mind. I recommend using the free .pdo to scale using pepakura.

Started to make mine printed the bottom ring on A4, would recommend to use the pep file until the opening in the ring is around 20 cm/ 9 inches or the lower portion of the jaws + back piece is sized up to you

I recommend mostly 6 mm foam, but I used 10 mm to really bulk up the side pieces. Most major craft stores sell craft foam at these thicknesses, but I have a particular fondness for HD Foam and Michael's Art Minds foam

Hello, I wanted to try do make Hunter's helmet but I have a few questions : 1. I can't find any foam (I live in France), it's either expensive or too small, any tips ? 2. What's the density of the foam ? 3. How do I adjust the helmet size for it to be my head size ? Thank you in advance for your reply !

This is a bit late, but seeing as ya didn't get a reply I suggest: 1) If you can, buy online or try find eva foam floor mats etc 2) He uses 6mm thick for most of the build, and 10mm for some of the bulkier pieces like the side panels 3) When you print the files, there should be a scale option in the advanced settings, sometimes it takes a bit of messing around to find the right size, and even if it's still printed too large but it looks right, you can always shove some more foam / sponge inside to keep your head comfortably in place :D

Nice jobe mate. I ordered the templates yesterday (republic Commando). And i printet both (normal +Upgraded) with the exact same settings. But now the cheek pieces are waaaay to big in comparison to the front visor piece. Can you maybe help me in some way? ( I already cut them out of foam...😬)

Most of this would be pretty easy to put together with 5mm! You'd just need to layer it together for the thicker pieces of the ears
