Herzlichen Dank

I am also doing my balance staff project too (I’m a watchmaking student) 😊. I like your videos, however, I find it better to turn the balance staff in between center. Great content! Keep it up!!!

Big fan of the videos. May I ask what speed you are running at? Also, are you using a HSS or Carbide graver?

Really nice, amazing work as always. You already told your lathe is a Lorch, but it’s a 6mm or 8mm ? I’m thinking about buying one.
@tanakayawatch
@tanakayawatch Год назад
Thanks for watching ☺️ I usually use a BOLEY 8mm lathe. And it’s American bed type.

@@tanakayawatch It's a pleasure to watch your videos, always perfect work! About the lathe, I have two options a Lorch 6mm or a Favorite 8mm, hard to decide. I thought your lathe was a Lorch, not a Boley, sorry ☺

What kind of steel did you use for this? Who do you buy it from?
@tanakayawatch
@tanakayawatch 5 месяцев назад
Thanks for watching☺️ I usually use Bergeon 2250-s Or if you can get carbon steel rod , you can tempering it. I updated other movie. Or use a steel screw driver tip .Blue one.

you bend it at 6:39, i think a micrometer is not best tool for measurement staff diameter in lathe

Just curious, why go through all the trouble to turn your own staff for a 6497 when you can buy a new one on ebay for less than $10?
@tanakayawatch
@tanakayawatch 2 года назад
Thanks for watching and information. It’s a demonstration movie and I can made it less 30 minutes . How much are your country’s hours payment. If it’s over $20 , eBay is best!!

If you make your video shorter Blume around 6 minutes, with narration and no music I'm sure your video will blowin up dude. Nice vide anyway
@tanakayawatch
@tanakayawatch 2 года назад
Thank for watching. Ok I’ll make short version and no music. But can not make narrations because I can’t speak English well. First purpose is I want to tell how much time is necessary to make a balance staff. Many guys uploaded just photos. So Young guys got images easily by this movie. I think my movies are too long too !😅
