In this video, we have a 1987 Buick Grand National in the shop with some not so beautiful black paint. We are going to polish the paint and make it look as perfect as we can and then ceramic coat it with Modesta.

Love,Love, Love,these cars. My neighbor had 2 of them in his garage before he passed away. Every once in awhile he would invite me to go with him to "melt the rubber of the Goodyears" (his words). I miss that guy and those Grand Nationals.

My dad owned a Buick Grand National. Nothing like the feeling of being pinned to the back sheet as he put the petal to the metal. In its prime he raced it on the dragway and I’ve seen at least one of the front tires come off the ground with the original V6 engine turbo charged. Good memories!

Now THIS is the kind of video that got me interested in the channel to start with over a year ago. I had one of these in 84 when I was in the Air Force, used to pull it under the shade and wash it and put Mother's Wax on it didn't know jack about polishing or anything else back then, now I have almost every product made and a couple of polishers one a Rupes. How times change!

My '87 had paint check. So I had to spend 20K and have it taken apart and striped. Painted and color sanded, she looks good now!

Nice job guys! The cracking and warping on the B-Pillar is common for all Regals, even the NON T-TOP cars for some reason! Worse with GNs and T-Types with more power and firmer suspensions.

Funny you mentioned the cracking @ 2:45. It's from the torque. My old man owned 28 87' Grand Nationals and everyone had some cracking, dint or deformation in the exact same spot. Regal T-Types had the same problem. I think T-Tops were worse.
