It doesn't really matter whether it be cotton or punk wood, you're charring the material and the end result is Charred Cloth or whatever. Char is a colloquialism that even WIKIPEDIA has picked up and I can't be arsed to go there, edit it and tell them that there is no such thing as CHAR it is CHARRED or it ain't and if it ain't it won't take a spark. 😉🤦♂️🤷♂️😁
