Sometimes you can buy a nice cheap glass garden container on sale. I bought my used overgrown glass garden at the supermarket. The whole set cost 10 times cheaper than a new glass container.
A garden in glass works because water evaporates and condenses
To make the garden you will need:
Gravel or pebbles - together with the mesh, they form a water tank, i.e. a place where water will flow down, and then evaporate and condense on the top of the tank, creating a continuous cycle.
Fiberglass mesh - separates the ground from the pebbles
Activated carbon or charcoal - both will be good, and their task is to clean the excess of flowing water after the condensation process.
Substrate - mixed in a ratio of 1:1 Coconut earth, sand (a little less), fine bark. I also added some substrate from the old garden in glass.
The plants I used are:
Spathiflora from the old garden in glass,
Fittonia
Moss collected in the park
Aglaonema Red Valentine.
I took the stones from my garden.
