Feet, rims, handles...phttt...who needs 'em? How about adding a cool collar to your vase? Here are 3 ideas that might inspire you to try something new. You can hand build these pretty easily with some basic tools and patience. Oh, no patience? Well, then just watch Ann work her magic with this porcelain!
Answers to questions we get all the time:
We typically bisque to Cone 04 and fire to Cone 5-6

Aww..thanks so much!! I really wanted to see if I could weave with the clay. I came up with a couple of different ways to do it, but I bet there are more elegant ways to achieve something like it. I bet you would do a really good job coming up with alternatives.

@@annruel1982 I’ve never tried weaving - though I want to. You make it look so easy I may have to try it!

@@darlink57 Go for it. My tip is to start with clay that is just a little more on the wet side to avoid cracking.

Creative as always! Love your vision! Several would make pretty neat handles, either the 'slip stopper' versions were you hold the piece itself and the handles keep it from skipping it if your hand or those handles that stick out perpendicular to the pouring directions (like some Japanese tea pots).

Would love to see a video on added feet. I think added feet really elevate thrown and handbuilt pieces but I'm not good at them and would love some ideas on making them, attaching them, how many to use on different shaped pieces etc.
