I find this tutorial very helpful to me, as I am a beginner digital artist or I know very little about creating digital art, and I want to learn more about digital art but I need baby steps, and this video provides me with the clear step by step instruction of digital line work.
If anyone using the new version of Illustrator got horrendous chunky brush strokes after making those brushes, I just rotated the brushes to be horizontal and chose a horizontal direction and it was fixed
great tutorial, I would only say that for instances like you have at 11:20 ish the width tool (shift + w ) would be a handy after the stroke weight was adjusted.
This video will be a great addition to your class! I just bought the class last weekend and really enjoyed it. I needed a good review of Illustrator for a project I was working on and the class did the job wonderfully. I am excited to see what other videos you will be adding in the future!
I have the same problem. I come from photoshop so brushes in illustrator are sooooo annoying. I just saved my brushes (or so I thought) with saving brushes library and when I reloaded it into a new file the brushes I had created were gone
Thanks for sharing these! I definitely appreciate all you do and have been sharing your channel with others. I will definitely check out your paid courses and share as well! Take care.
I don't know why but this worked just fine until I updated to the latest version of adobe illustrator. Now the art brush seems to assign a random direction to my brush and it just isn't working at all now. Each time I change the direction of the brush it just flips to whatever direction it wants. So annoying. Anyone know how to fix this?
You have to expand the strokes, and then it will allow you to change the color. save a copy of the original art before in case you want to change anything later :)
Hey brad. I recently tried surface products at the microsoft store. I felt as though my hand couldn't slide that comfortabley accross the glass. It felt like it stuck. Does this wear off? Also i felt like the rubber on the surface pen was too stiff(and it didn't glide that well). Does that wear off too?
+Shablo5 usually it's just timing, I just recently got those tablets and I recorded this video before that. Right now the GT-221 is my primary monitor.
Okay cool thank you. The reason I ask is because I want to buy the 221 from your review and review aggregation, but was confused as to why you, and JacquelinDeleon aren't actually using it in your videos (She's using an intuos). Very very confused, almost like there was something you left out :P
