Well, after a month off for summer vacation, it's good to be back with an easy little project that you can customize for you own needs. On today's show, I make some harmonica cases.
I like the way you think, and the way you present the project, easy to follow and understand. I always enjoy your videos, and appreciate you sharing. Wishing the best to you and yours.
The sabbatical did you good. I really enjoy making boxes. So much so that my wife now runs when I emerge from the shop with another box. Your excellent production gave me some new design ideas as well as new tips on production. Thanks Doc Mebane, NC
Thanks for the kind words. I enjoy making boxes as well, but if I don't have a use for one, I won't make it. I just can't have a wooden box lying around without a purpose for it. Thanks for tuning in to the show and for taking the time to leave me a comment.
I have to agree. As long as you can make something out of it, it's not considered scrap in my shop. I love the little projects that can utilize some of this wood that most folks would just burn or get rid of. Thanks for tuning in.
I had a fantastic holiday, thanks. There are some multi part builds scheduled for the near future and I hope that you will tune in for them. Thanks for taking the time to leave me a comment.
You're very welcome Raymond. Glad to hear that you enjoyed the show. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask...I'd be more than happy to help you out if I can.
Ken, glad to see you back, missed your videos. This project was really cool! I can see a lot of possibilities. Look out if I ever become organized. Really great work.
Thanks for the kind words Paul. There are a million options when it comes to making boxes and this is only one of them. Hopefully, it will give others ideas to for making their own custom boxes. Looking forward to the day that you get organized sir. I'm tired of being crazy alone. ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
Welcome Back my Friend, hope you all had a great Vacation (Holiday). As per usual from you Kenny another great video, as the idea of the printer/copier goes, who would have thought of that? ok maybe you before you say it ha ha. Some very good ideas and uses there, but I just can't get that copier idea out my head on what a good idea it was (must be my age ha ha).Take Care my Friend and good to see you back, regards as usual to the Family, Barry (from England)
Great to hear from you Barry. We had a fantastic vacation. The weather was great and we did quite a few days trips to different parts of the province. All in all, a great time had by all. I did throw by back out during vacation and could barely walk for 5 days but that's another story. Either way, thanks for the kind words on the show. Glad to be back and glad to have our weekly comment exchange once again. Thanks for tuning in
Thanks for the kind words on the project. It kills me to throw out pieces of stock that could be used for another project. I'm glad that this little project came to mind. Thanks for tuning in to the show.
Your workbench build inspired me to build the same bench, although with different species. Predominately European Oak for the top and pine for the base. Keep up the great work.
I'd love to see your bench. I'm glad that my show could inspire you to make your own. By far, the bench was one of the best project I've ever made and I only wish I had done it sooner. There's a reason that I don't allow advertisements in my show, and that reason is hearing from people like yourself who appreciate my show and get inspired from it. That's the reason I do it and I have no desire to make money from something as cool as that. Everyone's comments are worth more than what the advertisers would pay.
Soon as I finish it I will send you a photo of it. I'm just waiting for a new jointer so I can mill the lumber, don't fancy hand planing all that oak. :) I can understand guys who go down the route of allowing adverts on their channel, and if it's a channel I like I will let them run, but prefer watching a channel like yours will no interruptions.
Very nice project and useful description of construction. Question: what saw blade type did you use for those precision cuts? Thanks so much, Travis Cottage Grove, MN
Sorry for the delayed response, I was away for a few days and didn't have much cell service. Either way, I believe that the table saw blade you are asking about is a Freud, 80 tooth crosscut blade. It does a great job and leaves the edges very smooth. Thanks for tuning in to the show.
No exactly sure what you mean by this comment but if you are saying that the fit of the harmonica is too tight, well those measurements can be adjusted when you make your own. Thanks for tuning in to the show.
