Don't worry about stopping camera because your Sweet Young'un is talking. I know that's got to make filming difficult for you to start and stop. Who knows, you might have a budding videographer on your hands! 😉 Beautiful shift!!! I had looked at purchasing that book from Amazon but reviews said it was useless. ... I'm glad to SEE it being used and able to peek into the book. I just might go back and purchase. Thank you for sharing this, M'am.
Hi, Bonnie! The little guy takes after me so he's VERY vocal. He's a joy though! I should try to do more talking to the camera videos anyway because the babbling baby and barking dog are just parts of my life. Maybe people will find it relatable. I haven't sat down and read the books, but this alone was helpful for me. My husband tracked down a few of them, so if I do use them in projects, I'll be sure to mention and show them!
I agree: Baby's sounds in the background of parents' videos is as logical a part of realistic filming as any other sounds of daily life. The chemise looks great!
I love watching people craft their childhood dream pieces! I’m hoping to do more of that myself sometime soon. I love the way you gathered the neckline. The finished chemise is absolutely beautiful!
If I had the time and money, every project I do would be inspired by childhood dreams! My next big project IS inspired by a classic book character, but that won't be out until early December.
He's been telling stories since he was four months old! He's a very conversational babbler 😂 If you ask him questions, he'll tell a whole story! He's starting throw in hand gesturing and it's the best!
Don’t apologize for the background noises. They are a part of life and a joy to hear! My babies are all grown but I remember sewing to their stories! Also remember a toddler crawling over and sitting on my foot pedal… I started turning off my machine after each seam after that! She’s 32 now and I still do it lol.
He definitely loves to tell stories! This kid is so expressive and always has a lot to say. Oh my goodness, that much have been a bit scary for you! I have a baby gate blocking my sewing room, but he can open it if it isn't locked. I'm sure he'll be pressing the foot pedal before I know it. 😅
Never apologize for baby sounds in the background - probably most of us have been there and miss it! Great job on the chemise, and I can't wait to see the dress.
I hope you were able to enjoy this very common exchange with my son :D He definitely has a lot to say! Thank you! I have the pictures of the finished dress on my Patreon. Part 2 should be my next video, but with work picking up and how long the video is, I'm not entirely sure how soon it will be up.
Hopefully, that will be my next video and, hopefully, it won't take a full month to get that one out! The picture of it are on my patreon and I likely have a shot of it in the Patreon exclusive video his month.
Hi, I’m glad it’s getting started. Your munchkin has healthy lungs. That’s good to hear. It’s been a while for you to sew for yourself and that’s ok. Munchkins take a lot of time from mom and so it takes time to get to sew for yourself again. It’s just a part of parenting and adulting. I look forward to the next video.
He was in the NICU right after he was born because of his lungs but boy has he made up for it! He always has so much to say! He does take up a bit of time, but I'm lucky to have a supportive, hands-on partner who is happy to give me the time I need to sew :D
Talkative is a good thing. I’m glad you have time for your simple joys. My daughter will be 21 in a month and it’s still hard to find the time just for my fun stuff.
Hopefully yours is more intact that mine! Between the toddler stealing my phone and my own clumsiness, the phone case has gotten a few cracks in the front frame 😅
