Your hands are OFF CAMERA far too much. Way too hard to watch what is going on. I would think you would have watched your own video BEFORE you posted it, and reaped your instructions with your hands on camera.
I was really enticed by your video, but unfortunately, most of your work was off camera. I would have liked to have seen close-up of the finished beads, as well. I actually searched for other videos to supplement what I heard on your video.
i love the idea of using the plastic tube from a cotton swab. i just checked the ones i have [q-tip brand] and see that it is solid core. would you mind telling us what brand you used that has the plastic hollow core? i'm thinking one of those plastic coffee stirrers might work as well. thanks so much for this video!
Vos perles sont très belles mais je n'arrive pas à bien voir votre travail, vos jolis ongles le cachent, et vos mains sont souvent hors caméra, dommage parce que les perles sont magnifiques. Bravo pour le résultat ❤.
I see many were disappointed to not see every move, it would be good to see, but you explained so well, and the same movements I can get the idea, thanks for sharing this video
Could you make another video where we can actually see what you are doing? The finished product looks beautiful, but your hands are off the screen most of the time.
Good instruction but you were out of camera alot. Would uou please make another video with you in camera. It may help you to put a X in the center of your parchment paper to help you stay in camera. Thank you. Other than that i love your videos☺❤
That q-tip issue was making me insane, lol. I'm sitting here thinking, "…she taped it to a stick then just cut the end. Where's the hole?!" In my obviously sheltered life I've never seen a hollow q-tip. I'm glad I saw this before buying any tools. Sadly, for the most important part of this video your hands were out of view. (Adjusting the unruly multiple tips with a toothpick.) As I'm just starting out I probably won't be doing the disc first. This will be a big change from glass, metal and stone but I'm excited picturing all that pretty scrapbook and parchment paper at the craft store. I may be back with questions about glue and gloss but I'll watch more of your videos first. Thanks!
Do you even look at your video before you put it out there for us ? Cant see half of what your doing. But thats ok, theres plenty more videos on disc beads.
Pye Squire it must be like what happens to me when I'm concentration, like long road trips, set the cruise, and have to reset it every 7 and a half minutes because the speed changes, so then I forget to use the cruise control and I'm using my foot again, so then I'm doing ninty (I really did lol) while listening to audiobooks. I just forget what I'm doing when I'm wrapped up in two things I'm supposed to be doing lol.
great tutorial! TFS! The baby discs could make nice spacer beads. :) Clever to use the cotton swab tubing! I saw in another tutorial that showed how it helps to get the rolling started by offsetting the wide ends a little (slightly staggered). No lump in the middle, IE smooth hole. Oh! I bet these would make a great tree ornament by stacking graduating sizes (baby disc, 6 strip disc, 9 strip disc, 12 strip disc, and so on).
Thank you very much. I have been looking for tutorials on how to make this kind of bead but people don't explain as well as you do. You are great!!!!!!
Hi. This video is very interesting. It's hard to see everything though. You mentioned that the strips are about 1/4 inch. They look like they taper down from the 1/4 inch. How wide is the narrow end of the strip? In other words, what does the very end of it taper down to? Thanks!
i just saw the last comment and that was a year ago so maybe my comment will be in vain- also i don't see any replies from kimberly - maybe just an ego thing to see themselves on youtube???
i watched another tutorial and the instructions were mostly out of the camera range so went to this tutorial only to find the same thing. all very well putting helpful craft tutorials but i would suggest you check your video before posting because it just seems a waste of your time with the skills you have
Really informative. Thank you! I don't see how these fun disks can be used as beads...there's no hole. The Q-tip stick is in the center. Any remedy for that?
The beauty of using the plastic Q-tip is that they are hollow. When rolling your beads, it is a handle. When your bead is finished, you snip off the end, leaving the plastic tube inside the bead and once you've sealed the outside your bead is ready to use. Did that help?
No offense but the lighting is sooo poor, the camera isn’t close enough to see what the heck you’re doing and then you’re working off screen. I know this vid is nine years old but my goodness! 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼
