Thank you, Gil! Yes, I think this time it looks more solid than when I built a similar one last year. The foam sets within minutes, and it is quite sticky and toxic, so it is easier to work with when dry.
hi, awsome backround. Question: how it goes? does the coco fiber mantains good on the lower part? ... i want to make a Green wall on my aquarium and im thinking this types of backround could work to grow aquatic moss or some vertical "carpet plant". Greetings from CDMX ✌🏽
Thank you! The background is holding well under water so far. I have no plecos or any other fish that could 'graze' on it. There is plenty of aquatic mosses growing on the background submersed now as they are moving downwards from emersed areas.
@@tropicalfishhub thanks, that sounds awsome . I'll definitely watch it if you make an update video on this aquarium. saludos y buena vibra desde CDMX✌🏽
@@tropicalfishhub The Altums are great, thanks. Each day they get more used to the tank and come out of the plants at night while the light is on to feed. Very had to make them to eat dry food. I'm still feeding Hikari bloodworms at least 2 times a day. They like some shrimp flakes I have and those wafers I feed to the Corydoras and the Sturisoma. What fishes are you planning for the new system? Will you still set up a tank for some angels? Cheers!
@@Alex_Correa Good to hear that altums are settling well. They will become more confident as they grow. I'm thinking to keep some corydoras and tetras in this paludarium. No space for angels so far, but perhaps I will reorganise my fishroom to create more space
The pipe isn't exposed to light, so there is no algae. The holes do get clogged sometimes, but turning off and on the pump pushes water through and unclogs the holes
