I think you are doing amazing work. You are learning (and showing us as well) how the construction is being done. Your methods work well for your situation. Congratulations to you both on completing so much hard work. 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻🥰
What happened to the shy Illia who didn't want to talk on camera? Or the one who had few tools! Maybe he was replaced by the bold and skilled man we see in these videos? Still, the beer does not lie. We admire everything you two are doing as you build a future for your family. Your determination is awe inspiring! Your videos are amazing - nice work Marina!!!
All that hard work on the beams will pay off in a really beautiful interior. It will be really wonderful when all is done and the glow of lights show off your finishes.
You are a remarkable carpenter . I am very impressed with your work along the way .Your creativity is endless and wonderful. Your children must be so very proud of you .And you, beautiful woman . Meticulously painting in a most awkward situation up above everything. Contending with evidence of athletic animals tramping through everything, and always a smile and a beautiful brightness of character.❤
The foot prints were just letting you know the inspector was doing his job.😊 Illia Sometimes to get something right you have to go through a lot of trial and error. I'm glad you figured it out. Wishing you the best.
Good on you, Illia, for understanding the steps needed to join the wood the way you want it. Learning how to make the joinery can be very complex, creative and frustrating, too. Fortunately, you seem to be able to visualize the join you need and proceed with honing the process successfully! Sure, lots of physical, theoretical, structural, mental honing/refining but still you do it. I can't imagine it but admire you for "sticking to the plan". Rome was not built in a day, my son. Good on you, Illia. Marina and catspector on the job, too. Ever probing, ever creating, ever learning what/those processes never before experienced and finding new info, familiar skill/s used in different/new ways. What a wonderful journey! Onward to your goal and may you look back when you're done and be glad. Xoxoxo ❤🎉😊
In French Farmhouse Diaries, they show often how to make dove tails or other special thingd making out of wood. Budo is a great carpenter with a lot of knowledge. He made a special entree for is house, made a new building for his home made kitchen,he made a roof on it with slates and so on.
People always have opinions. If don't want to hear any, than don't put you out in the internet. If you like to show what you do, than you have to live with responses you don't like.
Depending on the way you do the renovation, this building will last several hundred years, only a fire could affect it. Now I understand why this renovation is taking so long. Illia is extraordinarily demanding in the way he approaches the details in everything he does. Congratulations, I think you are unique in the way you renovate. I think that if you had hired workers for these works, first of all, it would not have been of the quality you wanted, and it would have cost a lot. I would dare to give a piece of advice to Illia, the template you want him to make will be much more durable if it were made of aluminum plate, my point of view of course. GOOD LUCK, YOU ARE THE BEST!
Best not to hold a workpiece in your hand when using a router. Small slip big damage to you. Put it in a vise or use some sort of holding device on your bench.
