I am currently binge watching all of your ephemera playlist, what a rollercoaster ride this has been! When you go from THINKING about getting a dog, to the illness he had, the surgery, and then your wonderfully brave decision to give him up for HIS own good! now, in this playlist you are back a year and you are thinking of getting a dog...if you only knew then what you know now, you would still make those same decisions because that's who you are! I learn from you every day, and not just how to make journals... And, just so you know, I STILL CAN'T USE MY BIG BITE!! Thanks Gayle, for sharing both your knowledge AND your life! So cute! I like the use of the bulb pin, Gayle, very pretty. Speaking of which, I got my first batch delivered last week, five deliveries of crafting goodies in two weeks...now I get why it's called 'happy mail'. 😊😍 I also made Gi's and your version of the flip out booklet yesterday. I liked them so much that I'm going to make a stash of them.

Awwwww, I’m from Idaho, 5th generation Idahoan with 2 more after me. Elmira (the first card you covered) is not far from where I grew up. I would have a very hard time covering up any town names from northern Idaho. Southern Idaho, no problem 🤪

Great ideas! My brother works at the Post Office and up until the last 10-15 years, they had to memorize what address belonged to which route in order to apply for a mail carrier position. His test was computerized, I don't remember him using these cards. What a find! Cute ephemera. TFS😊

Gail, you don't always need Scotch tape to separate the napkin, just run your nail along the edge of the napkin at a corner and they just kind of curl. I'm really sorry about your cold I am coming up on three weeks tomorrow since I got one from flying and was miserable. Hang in there. I have no secret remedy 👳

These postal flash cards are so cool! I didn't even know they existed. My favorite is the tea card one...the only one that didn't competely cover the vintage patina of the original card! I hope you feel better.🤒❤ As much as you try to anticipate our questions and answer them before we ask, your slightly compromised sick, no-lunch head didn't think to give the dimensions of the cards. I saw you answer one comment and was so happy I commented "2 x 3.5" to others that asked...but then there were MORE of the same question so maybe you can tell all us slow pokes in your next video!

Yup, very cute how they are turning out. Play away!! Fun, fun, fun! I ran a temperature last night. And coughing, too. I sure hope you don't get anything. Not fun at all. Someone mentioned accordion mini book in comments. That might be fun. Like to see you play, as I just wing things like that, too. The tea cards are so cute. I hope you don't mind me sharing. Three of my friends are going on a vacation together and I wanted to make a travel journal for each of them. I cut out 3 covers and decorated one and made the pages of inside adding pockets and then placed the cover around it and the cover is way too small for the book. I measured at each step but I think I got over enthusiastic on making pages. I recommend making your cover last. LOL I have made journals so I can't use that as an excuse, I've even made travel journals. I just walked away from it and told my husband what I did. I think he was looking for tears or smiles, he watched for a while. All is fine. I'll use the cover for my next journal. I do have a problem because my biggest piece of paper is 12x12 and my journal is bigger than that so time to get creative.

Coincidence, I was looking in a drawer and came across one of those postal cards, my daughter bought it at a sale a few years ago, has then name of our town on it. Just keep it for fun.
