Making G10 D.I.Y knife liner 

That is not G10, Thats Micarta. G10 is made of woven fiberglass and epoxy resin under vacuum.

Also, I don't fool with clamps. They don't always give an even surface. I use weights. I have a heavy 1/2" plate of steel that I put on top and then use round weightlifting weights on top. About 50-75 lbs will work on everything from liners, paper micarta and burlap. Never have uneven sides due to overclamping one side or the other. Give it a try, saves time and you don't get epoxy on your clamps! 😉

You should use parchment paper, it wont stick to polyester resin.

You didn't allow the resin to escape because the plastic sealed it air tight and the excess resin couldn't get squeezed out
