I love your Oatmeal, Milk and Honey Soap. You make it so easy and simple for a beginner. I like the ingredients to your soap, and you made a good point that all soaps don't need a fragrance, just let it be a natural soap for people who had sensitive skin. Thank you for sharing

I always chuckle to myself when I see a honey that is marked "organic". It makes me visualize this huge farm with a tight mesh all over it to keep all the bees inside and there are various flowers and trees for the bees. It is impossible to do such a thing. I remember reading somewhere that bees will go miles away from their hives and then return, so just as you stated, they have left a trail that will lead other bees to that hive and there is no telling where all those other bees have been. Bees are very interesting creatures. I would love to have my own hives, but I am so allergic to bees that the risk is just too high for me.

To get your swirls you have to wait for your soap to harden a little better and then the shapes will stick. So if you had waited about 10minute longer, you would have gained your desired results 👍

It was also my first bar of soap! LOL! I did alright on not burning the milk but the cocoa butter I had was old (bought it at the store that way and didn't have a clue that it would be old). The loaf cracked apart when I tried to cut it and I was devastated. I thought I'd never make soap again, however, I tried a few other recipes and I felt much better because they turned out very nicely! Hugz, Tree

I've been contemplating on making oatmeal milk and honey for their long time I did make a Three Oaks soap with collodial oats baby oatmeal and regular oats it's a really nice bar soap so I ordered some fragrance oil from brambleberry I heard it's very good and then I also have four for 1 oz bottles from two different places so I think I'll be making plenty of oatmeal milk and honey soap the funny thing is I've been wanting to make that for 2 years lol

Cheryl, what is your favorite thing about the Goat's milk? For me its the creaminess and moisturizing properties, I don't get out of the shower feeling "stripped" or "coated in lotion"

Beautiful goat milk soap! Goat milk soap feels so creamy and nice on the skin. You have your own goats, right? I can't imagine having all that lovely fresh goat milk. I find it really hard not to scorch the milk. It's lovely caramelized too. I've also added it after it starts to cool when I want a much lighter bar (lazy soaping days, LOL). Hi!! New soap maker here. I have read where you have to test the PH in the soaps or taste (???) it ? I really don’t want to taste it. Haha. What do you do ? Do you just let yours dry for x amount of weeks ??

Hi, if you follow good recipes by using a soap calculator, and cure your soap for a full 6-8 weeks, there is no need to test. Thanks for visiting and have a fantastic weekend

Hi the milk is just used as replacement for water in your recipe, the oats are added 1 tbs per lb of soap and honey at 1 tbs per lb of soap. Many other suggest only 1 tsp of honey per pound, but I like to use a higher percentage of honey. Thanks so much

Hi Patti, I fully understand, I keep vinegar nearby, I do wear gloves sometimes, and should try harder, luckily I have never had a lye accident and have been soaping over 50 years, lucky I suppose. I will do my best to try, but I just never have found a glove that feels comfortable. Thanks so much.
