It will help to change the tip out from a gas tip to a flux core tip. It makes it easier to see your wire/weld. After each weld, brush the flux off of your metal to get better connection on the next weld in the area. Lastly, it is recommended to cut your wire before starting a new weld to ensure you have a fresh tip to start the weld. Harbor Freight sells some decent entry level weld tables if you get tired of welding on the floor. 😂. It looks like you have a good start into welding.
