Using essential oil in soap making is one of the many things we love to explore while making soap at home! Today, we're making straight soap layers with our grapefruit cold process soap recipe using only essential oils! We don't have a ton of soap making recipes for beginners, but this time we're using an easy soap recipe that even beginners can follow! We'll simply split the soap batter into two layers, add colour and create two flat soap layers. Easy peasy, right? :)
If you're a beginner soap maker, please remember to take the necessary precautions when working with any soap making lye! Wear gloves and protective eyewear, and don't forget to make sure any kids or pets are safely occupied elsewhere!
If you're just starting our in making soap, cold process soap is a good place to start. Be sure to use a lye calculator for your recipe, though! It's an important skill to learn as a soaper!
Here's this beginner friendly recipe!
