Symptoms
In men, hair often begins to recede from the forehead.
Male-pattern baldness
Women tend to lose hair along the part.
Female-pattern baldness
Patchy hair loss (alopecia areata) is sometimes preceded by itchy or painful scalp.
Patchy hair loss (alopecia areata)
Repeated stress on the hair can cause a type of hair loss called traction alopecia.
Traction alopecia
t's becoming increasingly common for menopausal women to experience frontal fibrosing alopecia, in which the hairline moves back.
Frontal fibrosing alopecia
Hair loss can appear in many different ways, depending on what's causing it. It can come on suddenly or gradually and affect just your scalp or your whole body.
Signs and symptoms of hair loss may include:
Gradual thinning on top of head. This is the most common type of hair loss, affecting people as they age. In men, hair often begins to recede at the hairline on the forehead. Women typically have a broadening of the part in their hair. An increasingly common hair loss pattern in older women is a receding hairline (frontal fibrosing alopecia).
Circular or patchy bald spots. Some people lose hair in circular or patchy bald spots on the scalp, beard or eyebrows. Your skin may become itchy or painful before the hair falls out.
Sudden loosening of hair. A physical or emotional shock can cause hair to loosen. Handfuls of hair may come out when combing or washing your hair or even after gentle tugging. This type of hair loss usually causes overall hair thinning but is temporary.
Full-body hair loss. Some conditions and medical treatments, such as chemotherapy for cancer, can result in the loss of hair all over your body. The hair usually grows back.
Patches of scaling that spread over the scalp. This is a sign of ringworm. It may be accompanied by broken hair, redness, swelling and, at times, oozing.
When to see a doctor
See your doctor if you are distressed by persistent hair loss in you or your child and want to pursue treatment. For women who are experiencing a receding hairline (frontal fibrosing alopecia), talk with your doctor about early treatment to avoid significant permanent baldness.
Also talk to your doctor if you notice sudden or patchy hair loss or more than usual hair loss when combing or washing your or your child's hair. Sudden hair loss can signal an underlying medical condition that requires treatment.
People typically lose 50 to 100 hairs a day. This usually isn't noticeable because new hair is growing in at the same time. Hair loss occurs when new hair doesn't replace the hair that has fallen out.

Great advice all around - a water filter, Argan oil and leave in conditioner are your best friends. Ordering your system with remy hair is worth the extra money, you will immediately notice the difference in quality and NO TANGLES! Lastly, it’s really important to note that not everyone gets a month or even a weeks hold out of a install. So learning maintenance is a life saver. You’ll make mistakes but be patient with yourself. And binge the RU-vid videos, the hair system how to community is fairly large.

The units should be taken off daily and reapplied tape only. After wearing them for over38 years I believe this is the best way and cleanliness its easy and cost effective. for me as of now lace is more comfortable I use poly bases also i switch from unit to unit I get one year out of the pieces... good content.. keep it up!! 😀

to all the newcomers the quicker you learn maintenance the better off you will be..even if it means taking 6-8hours on a saturday morning/afternoon To figure it out...no offense Jake but doing it your self and thén going to get it done the next day is not a bad idea but it is a waste of products and wear and tear...if you use lace tape rubbing alcohol on wig and thén solvent on the head..if lace tape is seeping through, its time to get it done. You can go a month with lace tape but its a real pain to clean..you definitely need bangs if youre using any tape or any adhesive product after a month...the heat and sweat show the hairline..when I do my own maintenance i use shampoo and conditioner..otherwise daily i use a non oily shine leave in conditioner with pommade. if you show the hair line(never realistic enough for me except once 14 years ago) thén depending on how much maintenance will détermine your hairstyle..wear it up for a few days thén if you dont Feel like changing the adhesive in the front wear down. also if youre out of solvent dish washing soap works..but dont use on the wig just your head..vefore cleaning scalp I put betadine on to kill any microbes from the sweat and heat combo..also dries out scalp enough without burning ...never had a problem in Europe..could easily find a place in France or Germany anywhere but Czech Rep I could see being challenging in the countryside(fortunately I had my own hair when I went to Praha, Znojmo and in between)..and if youre moving somewhere bring a few...Japan is a modern country Im sure you could buy online there

Tip-mirror slide easiest way to remove glue or tape gum. Use your solvent and let sit 10 minutes then slide gummy area on bathroom mirror scalp side to mirror until clean. Wipe down mirror with Windex. Bob’s your uncle.

This is great advice, If it works for you, great, but I worked for hair club for 12 years and as a former hair wearer, I say just take it off---it just isn't worth the money and stress. there's just too many problems, maintenance, and the cost is astronomical---The best option--if you are lucky enough not to have extreme hair loss, combine hair transplants and propecia (finasteride is the generic--covered by insurance) for best long term results with NO maintenance.

if you can learn to use only tape, that works the best. take it off every night if you want the system to stay clean and last a lot longer. The tape works well---by the way, some of those conditioners will loosen the knots and you will have a lot of hair loss

I wet and shampoo my system only once a week. I find that anything more than that shortens the effectiveness of the bonds (I use a tape and liquid adhesive). As for lack of confidence, my experience was quite funny. I was extremely conscious at first, but one day I just woke up not caring at all anymore. I think I just got used to it. My confidence increased too as the compliments kept coming.

Use leave in conditioner and/or hair oil. Sleep in a wave cap for Afro hair….prevents tangles and knots from your pillow. Clean and rebond weekly/bi-weekly. Stop worrying about it being visible…..people don’t pay that much attention to your hair, no matter how much you think they do, they’re far too wrapped up in their own lives to care 😂 I’ve done some terrible bonds on mine and nobody noticed but me 😂💁🏻

Really appreciate the vids dude. 5 months in and it is very tricky in the summer with the heat (and my system actually lightens up dramatically from the sun). I have been told by my stylist only to shampoo once a week with maybe a rinse as well. One thing that happens is during an intense work out, the bangs of the system get sweaty while the rest is somewhat fine. This alters how the bangs lay and look. That can force me to wash it sometime.

@MarkHadleyUK
@MarkHadleyUK Год назад
@@JakeKentit does look amazing. What density? I ordered a Lavivid stock system which is 90% and Indian hair. It was rather nice, but way too thick for me. So I'm ordering a second but custom system with European hair (I'm Caucasian) but not sure whether to go for 80% or 60% density. The 60 maybe too fine, but could be really realistic as my bio hair is very fine

I used to worry about my hair system alot like in my 10 years usage ,7 years I was worried and was trying hard to make it look like I am not wearing one , but during covid down time when I finally had time to reflect my past ,I felt in those 7 years I wore some really bad hair systems and I had to go extra mile to keep them look natural n realistic ,now I wear more better ones thanks to ordering them online ,I kinda figured it out how to keep them intact irrespective of any season

In response to the first question, if he's going to a salon for maintenance, he can ask if they do a link attachment on the back and sides, then there is no need for tapes or adhesives in those areas, with a secured back its easier to experiment with the front you don't have to worry about the whole system falling off. That's what I been doing ,the only down fall is the links are feel able to the touch, must have a longer hair style , me personally I been doing a John wick/Keanu Reeves inspired style .

@williamcharles8628
@williamcharles8628 Год назад
@@ryandickson7329 it's kinda hard to explain in depth, I only see alittle of going on, during the process I guess I should ask,lol! Its kinda like when a chick gets micro bead extensions. It's a dry attachment no tape or adhesive in the back area. It can last at least for me up to 3months. When it loosens up I tie my hair in a ponytail

Jake, thanks for the content.. I must ask (anybody who has experience please feel free to answer).. i live in a hot humid country.. glue becomes part of sweating, and tape is the only possible adhesive... would it be ok to wet my hair daily (no shampoo, no conditioner, no chemicals). thanks
