Welcome to DAC and Diamond Painting!!! I have been Diamond painting for 4 years! I own the HP Crest, Sorcerer Stone Poster, Hedwig, and Luna Lovegood and many non HP painting! My favorite thing to do is listen to HP books in audible while I Diamond paint. Enjoy!!!!
LOVE THIS!!! Welcome to the Diamond Art Club community! 😊 They have many other LICENCED Harry Potter canvases to choose from when you finish your first. 😉
Hi 👋 I'm an active member of the diamond painting (dp) community. I wanted to let you know that once you have diamonds on the canvas you MUST roll the painting with the diamonds facing outward. Rolling with the diamonds in causes the individual diamonds to pop off and/or rearrange themselves. Diamond painting is a fabulous craft. I became addicted in December of 2019 😊. Diamond Art Club is the #1 company in our community ❤ I love seeing my dp community crossing the boundaries into my HP community ❤. Have Fun and enjoy the relaxation
Great idea! I can't believe I haven't thought of that 😳🙄 that way I can do both my current hobbies and obsession at the same time. If I just did this I'd have finished a few extra books at the same time.
I know this posted awhile ago but I had soo much fun listening and watching you that I ordered this painting for myself lol! I get it today and can't wait to start it. My family is filled with devoted Harry Potter fans. Both my daughters learned to read with the Harry Potter books. Nothing else had them interested in learning to read until their teacher started reading Harry Potter in class. That was 25 years ago!!! I'm soo happy we found you! You bring a smile to everyone's face and you make me remember why I love Harry Potter soo much!! :))
I have been into diamond painting for almost 4 years now and have done over 100 of them. It is my favorite hobby. It’s so cool to see other do it that have never done it before. It’s so addicting 😂
As a framer I suggest getting large ones like this mounted before working on them. Then they are on a flat foam board. They will be easier to move around and less likely to lose the small gems as you move it
Hey Peter I'm from Australia. My daughter has been doing Diamond painting for a while now and her first rule is do not roll the painting up once you start as sometimes the gems will pop off, so keep it flat till you have it in a frame. The other thing is when she finishes a area she sprays it with hodge podge to protect it and when she is finished all of it she gives it one more spray. Just thought you would like to know. Enjoy your content. Stay safe.
Omg I love diamond art....I also love Harry Potter! I want one 😍 When I do find art I usually play my audio books or let a documentary play in the background....my time to relax
I love diamond painting I have been doing it for a long time I have done so many Harry Potter ones and this one that you are doing is my fav 😍😍😍Enjoy and having fun
I love diamond art ❤️❤️ I’ve done quite a few as gifts for family and friends. One tip though keep the canvas flat whilst you’re not doing your piece as the “diamonds” may start popping off if you keep rolling it up 😊😊. Happy diamond painting and thanks again Peter for another great video xxxx
Mandy thanks for the tip as I've been rolling my one each time I need to put it away. Any other tips? Just a few questions you maybe able to help me out with. 1. When you start at a corner as you do, do you do finish one colour all over that area first OR do you change colours as needed.
@@Nikkilodean19 l find it easier to do one colour at a time, depending on the design otherwise you spend more time changing your diamonds than actually placing them on the canvas. Hope this helps. Happy painting xx
I’ve been diamond painting for a few years and still learning little tricks. Recently I learned to roll the painting outwards, it stops the rhinestones merging together and popping off :) Also you can use cover minders to cover your diamond painting the part that’s finished to keep it protected and stop the cover from sliding off. Always reaching for my Ravenclaw one :’)
What's a cover minder? Any other tips and tricks for a beginner? I've got a few questions:- 1. When you do a section do you do all the same colours first and then move on to the next one or do you just switch between colours as needed eg. If in a line it's 10 x and 2 y 5 x and 3 y do you do all the x's first OR do you do it in order eg xxxxxxxxxxyyxxxxxyyy 2. How do you find the multi beads attachment? Do you use it? I've tried to use it but it doesn't seem to fit into the square as perfectly as when I do it singularly but maybe I'm not using it properly. Any tips on using these?
I was looking that this exact diamond art last night and contemplating if I wanted to get it. I have so many craft projects going right now and I don't really need a new one, but I also need a new one LOL
Peter you read my mind! I was just looking at getting one of these the other day and I’m most definitely purchasing one now! Thanks for the demonstration 🦁⚡️🚂
I’m actually working on this one right now. The colors are beautiful. I also have all the house crests and the poster from Sorceror’s stone, Hedwig and Hogwarts, and the one of Harry and Voldemort. I couldn’t help myself to buy just about all of them. I only buy from Diamond Art Club now. Waiting to see if more will be coming out soon. I have a completed Landscape one hanging in my living room and I’ve got two that I hang for the holidays. And then a bunch of others that I have completed but they aren’t hanging up. And I’ve done some as gifts for family members:
I bought painting by numbers with poster from Philosopher's Stone and now Im waiting for diamond mosaic from PS. Ordered a diamond mosaic from Chamber of Secrets and Prisoner of Azkaban. I hope it will be a good quality.
@@jolab3660 would love to know how the painting by numbers were. Is it hard? Did it look good and is the paint and brushes good quality for it to look good? I've done the diamond art, not Harry Potter as I didn't know they even had diamond art kits for Harry Potter 😢🤬😭
@@Nikkilodean19 I got mine from Diamond Art Club. I think they do shipping to Australia but I'm not positive and don't know what the shipping costs are.
i am so addicted to diamond painting. i have made 8 so far currently working on my 9 th picture. i havent done a harry potter one yet but mayby one day i will. just today i got my new LED pad and i also just ordred that picture. aaahhh i have a problem🤭
What do you need an LED pad for and what is it? Whats your preference between round or square beads? Do you use that multiple beads in one pen attachment? I find it not as accurate when I lay the beads down, what do you think? I'm currently doing a Pennywise one from IT and the "turned" Georgie. Can't wait till it's finished as I'm going to frame and hang on my sons wall as he loves Pennywise...strange child 😳
As a framer I suggest getting large ones like this mounted before working on them. Then they are on a flat foam board. They will be easier to move around and less likely to lose the small gems as you move it. I can't wait to see it when it's completed!
Hi Peter, I love to do diamond paintings. A helpful hint is if you are doing areas of the same color do every other square and then go back and fill in. The little clicks are so satisfying.
Oh Potter Collector Peter, I have been diamond painting for 5 years. I can however tell you you need more baggies than you get in the kit. I bought lots of extra storage containers for I can't work from baggies. I love AB's. They make my inner Niffler very happy.
Wow. Looking forward to seeing the different kinds of designs they offer. As a child I would have been all over this! Looks like a great family project too. My only problem is, it's a raven. Lol. So nice tho!
A colleague of mine has been doing these diamond art for a while now and she always tags me whenever she finishes a Harry Potter themed piece...even promised to give me one when we meet up next. I am excited to try one of these. I'm more of a Lego builder and collector but this will be a nice change of pace. Thank you for sharing, PK! (Hope you don't mind my calling you that.)
I just started diamond painting for the first time this year. I have a couple of Harry Potter ones. Please show us your finished one when your done. Have a great day Peter!
This is great, the stickers don't come with a lot of kits out there. So it's nice this site actually gives those. I have gone with random ones from a company and they never give stickers to the bags. so this is great, nice that they gave you one to show off. The larger the image the better quality the image is. So it's small the image will be a bit blurry. So this large one will come out very pretty. Watch a movie and take your time. I have one I been working on for over a year now and even have a program where I can design my own diamond paintings. ( yes I did a harry potter one for myself) I took it a step further and go through a company that supplies me with the colors I need too. So this is is a great company for those wanting to start a new hobby. Great video and it was fun watching.
@@Nikkilodean19 I watch a DIY here on RU-vid for a cross stitch free downloadable program. It's a lot of research, imagination, and time. Crafts stores sell poster size amount of the sticky stuff for those wishing to make their own. Diamonds do your research on where to get them, some places charge way too much for them. I was able to do one for $35 and the other for $45. If I went to the 1st place I tried my first poster would of been $150 to make. So be smart and do your research. Why most people just buy the kits. Etsy might have a custom option that works for you. I am a Jack of all trades type crafter so I know a lot of different crafts and how to's. So was happy this worked out, it got frustrating at times.
I’ve been working on a diamond painting of Daenerys and the dragons from Game of Thrones for about 2 years now lol almost halfway thru! Little by little and you’ll get there in no time. Thanks for sharing!
I love doing these , I found the circular diamonds easier to work with. Be warned you will find them absolutely everywhere , we did our last one over a year ago and still find them in random places 😂
Wish I'd known this beforehand...I bought 2 bigger pieces and didn't look at the shape of the diamond beads as I didn't realise they even come in square 😱 so I just bought and then I realised it's got 2 shapes.
I've been obsessed with watching diamond art on youtube and really want to do one but it looks like so much work and I've been working on the same paint by color for years
I LOVE Diamond Art Club!! I’m so glad you decided to try out one of the Harry Potter ones!!! They’re officially licensed, after all 🥰❤️🪄 I’m working on the Luna Lovegood canvas right now!! I’ve been doing diamond painting for three years and I’m still loving it!!!
Vanessa any tips and advice? I've got a few questions for someone that has been doing it for years, I'm just a beginner. Only finished one medium sized one and half way done for a large one. 1. Do you prefer round or square beads? 2. Do you use the multiple beads pen attachment, any tips on how to use this properly? I've tried but I find it doesn't go into its slot perfectly. I've got a square one. 3. How do you do it? Do you swap colours or do you just do the same colours in the same area THEN move onto the next colour? Thanks in advance.
@@Nikkilodean19 I prefer both, actually. I like rounds because I can finish a bit faster and squares because they look like a mosaic when you finish them even though they take a bit longer due to precise placement. I also like placing one at a time but occasionally I will use a multiplacer. I start off just using the three diamond multi placer, then slowly work myself up to bigger multi placers. Push the attachment in until it snaps. I work on the project however I feel like it. Sometimes I will swap colors or will use one color until I finish that color, then I swap. I’m doing it however I want, so it’s a lot more fun for me! So you do diamond painting however you want and remember to enjoy the process!! I hope this helps!
Hi Peter, I have a request!! But first -thanks for entertaining us so well, you are such a wonderful, positive person and your Harry Potter joy is so infectious 😄 so my request.. I absolutely love your trips to the Harry Potter theme parks , as someone who will probably never go, I really really would love to see a very detailed trip to Knockturn alley and the Kitchen Alley behind Honeydukes. It would be great to see all the upclose details that you usually pan past so we can get a sense of being there ✨ There is so much to see and it looks amazing! Thanks 🧙🏼♀️🧙🏽♂️🧙🏼♀️🕸🦎🌚✨
I have this canvas and done it. Love it so much! They have a few other ones on DAC. What I do is I bought some containers to put my drills in so I don’t lose any. Lol.
This is beautiful man. I’m definitely digging this one and may have to look into it. I’ve got to get a second shelf so that I can start REALLY collecting for Harry Potter. I’ve been collecting for TMNT for about 13 years. Needless to say, I’ve only been collecting for HP for past 3 months. Watching you has inspired me to do so and also get my family excited for Harry Potter.
I was surprised to see you doing Diamond art ,but i think it's really cool. I've wanted to do one for awhile now ,but I've kept myself from buying one tell i finish two puzzles i have. There's so many i want to do including a Harry Potter one and I do love this crests one, it covers them all.
I do dimond art and best tip i can give you is when your done with your piece use some modpoge on it once your done so it locks your gems in for good. I have a painting of the screen poster for the 1st movie.
I’ve done a good handful of diamond art paintings in the past but I have yet to do a HP one as back then they were more scarce and didn’t have many design options. This piece is just beautiful though and diamond painting is so fun and relaxing. I love the popping sound the canvas makes each time you lay a gem down. 😊
My mind is blown away by this! I actually do this and have been for over a year so went crazy and had to see your video og this cuz im a huge Harry Potter fan also! Will deffently check out the website and thank you so much for doing this video! You just made my No 1 hobby that more fun! ❤❤
