I'm getting used to my Nagao Higonokami 3" and it's great to use as a utility / pocket knife. It has a nice gradual curve that keeps a very sharp edge. Highly recommend.
Imagine the familiarity you’d need with your tooling and machines to eyeball perfection every time😮 I edc a blue steel and I’ve dropped it, beat on it more than any knife should, neglected sharpening and just strop it. I had to re-profile my broken tip but that’s my fault. Amazing knifes and while not made as a weapon I feel a lot safer with this on me than a lot of other defence gadgets
I just bought one and I can't wait until I have it in my possession! The story behind the knife and that it's hand made by the one and only is just amazing! :D
These things are worth atleast 4x more than they charge for them. They are so cheap. I bought a medium sized one with Aogami 2 and brass handle for 55 AUD. It’s just so cheap
I own one myself, and have often wondered why the writing was setup to be viewed by a left handed user?As I am left handed myself, I always got a kick out of it, and also wondered what does the writing say?

“Higo no Kami” in Japanese means “Lord of Higo”. Higo is the old name of the Kyushu province, where the original knife came from, but “Higo no Kami” is also an aristocratic title historically given to powerful samurai. Don’t trust google translate.
