In this video I show you how to make a hood trap beat from scratch in fl studio 21. Hood trap is a new genre of rap music that emerged recently. I'm not sure who pioneered the sound.

ngl, looked further into this genre, i get that it covers a lot more ground, but if i'm to not dig through the trenches of soundcloud, this is pretty much exactly the first 10 songs i found, but less distorted, i cant really blame jrent for not getting it, theres very little consistency otherwise between songs, still cool genre, but idk how tf i'd nail it down

ppl hating so hard on jrent for this, but i aint see one person trying to correct it, because truthfully. this genre has so little consistency. if i'm to look at the top ten songs i can find in this genre, i'd say jrent nailed the foundation of those songs, plus or minus some over the top distoriton

@codez9149 his beats have roots in 2010s, and origins in the late 2010s. im not that tapped in but the newest sound was that cool run of hypnagogic cloud rap type stuff in 20-22 with yabujin before he quit, maybe we will see more things from that soon but idk (so far its all just copying). We are almost halfway through the 20s and nobody had as much impact as dg and sbe in the early 10s. But who knows, maybe somewhere out there is a hella underground group redefining music. Maybe 1c is that group. We will only know for certain in the future.

I would rename the video to add (jerk beats) in the title because i rarely see anyone calls this hood trap and more so the other term.

Xaviersobased did pioneer it along with people like Kashpaint, Percosits, idkcap, Bloody, St47ic, kinda subiibabii, and kinda phreshboyswag, idk who tf DJ ess is. it's more often called Jerk, and this is not a very good example of it. typically jerk is 150-200 BPM, it varies but usually sits between 170-190. idk why you used a drill melody for it but... no. the sound selection could've been MUCH better too.
