The instruction book reminds users that the Creami is NOT a blender. It does a number of things a blender can't do, and a blender does a number of things the Creami can't do. Study this before damaging your machine. Nevertheless, good rum-raisin ice cream is a well deserved classic.
No, it's pretty easy. The only things getting dirty is the inner container, the blade, and the lid. All removable and easily washable within seconds in the sink. I'm not entirely sure whether everything is dishwasher safe, though.
