A how-to video for making incense sticks and coils.
For more on makko and making the dough, see the video on making incense cones: • Making Incense Cones
For the tray I used, search amazon, ebay, or aliexpress for "incense making tray"
For the extruder, search for "clay extruder"

wow cool! thank you for sharing!! i’m really interested in this bc I wanted to get charcoal disks for burning incense and herbs but they don’t have mini or thin ones (for a shorter burning time) so I thought of these… btw have you ever made charcoal disks? Also does it take two days for them to dry and if so have you considered getting a personal fan to help your drying process along? there’s a Mainstays 4” mini metal personal desktop fan for about $6 & a reachable one for on the go for about $12 🙂

I have not made charcoal disks.

The problem with fans is that the drying becomes uneven so the sticks bend and are not straight. The top part dries first. The dry part is smaller, so it curls upward. They need to dry slowly and evenly. But what's the hurry? Worth waiting a few days.

@@LorraineWilcox understood I’ve never used it so i had no idea… The hurry would be making beautiful jewelry for family and friends lol but ya gotta wait i guess

Hi Lorraine, once they are dry, can I use fragrance oils on them like I would do for purchased unscented sticks

I imagine you can, but I have only ever made incense with the herbs themselves. I have never tried using oils.

@@LorraineWilcox how did you make the dough thicker?

Makko thikens. YOu neet the right proportion of fragrant herb powder, makko, and water. Then you knead it and it thickens.

And where can I get a rack like that

Search amazon, ebay, or aliexpress for "incense making tray". Sometimes these places have them and sometimes they don't. so if you don't find it in the first place you look, try one of the other places.
