Bro..like I know I can do all this on my own but I’d pay to have you do my 02 cr250r hahaha you have a gnarly eye for what looks super cool! And functions
@@jtgross2324 thanks man. Last week I looped it and chipped my right number plate. Give me a good excuse to order some red plates. I also like the original plastic but I did add a new front fender and plate. Man I’ve actually had the bike for 13 years. I’ve finally almost got it how I want. I also want some red front fork guards
I still remember how shocked and upset I was when you got sick. I am so thankful and happy that you are doing great today and still feeding your passion. I love watching the vids and supporting in any way I possibly can! I also have a 2001 RM250 and yours puts mine to shame lol If you have any leftover goodies for that thing let me know!!
Informative, quality content with excellent cinematography. The pipe, frame, head, carb, shock combo is such a hit. I love to watch you take your time and shine! Thanks for the collaboration! Can’t thank you enough.
Awesome. It’s crazy how watching Cam work on his bikes makes me want to work on mine. I did a full 2007 RM 250 build a couple years ago but I ride it. I miss how it looked when I was finished and the process felt rad. Wish I could post pics. Thanks, Cam!
I use baking soda to blast carbs. Then either soak it in warm water, or run it through an ultrasonic cleaner. The baking soda dissolves in water. It’s not as abrasive as sand or glass bead but it works killer on carbs.
I’m a FMF Gold Series fan but man that pipe is absolutely gorgeous ! I’d love to win this bike. She would look great sitting next to my son’s cherry 03 RM125 in the garage.
Working on mine right now, you won’t believe how many times I’ve referred to yours vids as well as the manual as it’s my first resto. I have one stuck fork punch bolt though 🥲😂
Cover up your open areas with gorilla tape before blasting Cameron. That helps a ton. You got me into cerakote, and my trx 450r motor looks sweet. I think will build a bigger oven this winter for bigger parts.
What year was this again? I have a rebuilt 03. As much as I love the rm 2stroke this bastard year of the rm is giving me nothing but fits with the jetting. The carb cerakoted looks sweet. Bike looks sweet
Dude, that is SICK. I wish I had the time and space to do this stuff to my bike, but until we get some more land, my rm250 is gonna be sitting in a pile a little longer lol
Great to see you back . This is the way I rehabilitate after my work related injury I got back into building 2 strokes and have not stopped . I miss riding them but I get more pleasure from seeing them being ridden after the build . Any way I need some additional info my build is a 1997 rm250 all stock rebuild, the carb was dipped and cleaned and rebuilt but now it it leaks from the needle valve and I see a piece of o ring off the side can this be repaired or removed ? Help Thanks man James
Thanks had to review again. So I just ordered the block off valve kit from JD jetting thanks again buddy now for the float valve keeps sticking time to look at that .
The power jet, is primarily there to aid in low end torque... Since 2 strokes struggle with bottom end grunt.. The power jet solenoid opens, and assists in the 2000-3000 rpm range (bottom end of the rev range).... basically just there to help torque at that rev range, and to make the power valve transition more "seamless".. :) --- Also.. with the breather pipes hanging underneith.. Cut them at a 45 angle.. That way, its harder for them to get plugged up with dirt when riding :) PLugged breather pipe can easily make the carb overflow and make the engine run like junk..
carburetors are quite complicated even though its old technology. In some ways, more complicated than EFI. Anyway, great build! I will do this one day when my son is older and I have time.....
It's a trip getting a carb rebuild from Ron Howard ... hold on to these orings and washers ... I spent 3 hours trying to find them after I blew them out with my air compressor ... and the Fonz couldn't help he was banging my sister! :D
Shouldnt be sandblasting that shit bruv. You should get a water blaster or at the very least an aluminum oxide water blaster. Since cerekote needs exactly a 120 to 220 grit surface to stick
Remember when you're spraying with that gun don't let your finger off the trigger all the way keep the air going at all times if if not it leaves a spatter clean. I had that surgery and made 5 incisions on me They got in there and noticed my diaphragm was exploded. So they had to reschedule it for the 1st of the year.
Really, really nice, I kinda wish you picked a different color tho, seems to blend in to the bike a lot vs standing out. My bikes are built by a rastafarian clown
Hey cam hope all is well brother and congratulations on your brand new family had a question if I registered for giveaway when it first came out do I have to do it again or does it stand it feels like a year ago? Thanks man
Been watching you since before you got sick , may i ask you how you are doing mate ?Really hope you are well ! amazing build as allways and cannot wait to see the end product !! Wishing you nothing but the best brother !
Thanks for the clarity on that weird ass solenoid! never understood why it was there, or the throttle positioning sensor for that matter. muchas grassy ass amigo!
So inspirational, been watching a while...Have a complete 01 RM250 with 4 containers full of new parts, that one day when I have more time, I will be rebuilding. Love watching your videos for knowledge.
love your videos cam your work with detailing and cleaning your bikes and parts are amazing i use your cleaning wheels in the garage almost every time i work on something i use to race kawasaki tecate 3 wheelers and a tecate 4 wheelers in the late 80s. ive been rebuilding a 1988 tecate4 for ever seams like. love 2 strokes. im 61 years young keep up the videos i support all you do. i have your cleaning wheels stocked up .but when i need some i will always buy your cleaning wheels they last a long time thanks
So glad to see you back and I hope you and your family are all doing well. Anxious to watch all you do to this bike. I have a '98 RM250 I'm going to restore. My buddy and I both bought them in '98. He kept his and mine is long gone so I bought his and want to restore it. You are such a wealth of restoring information and motivation. Love what you do!
when u tear into a carb its best to buy a jd jetting kit, they give u the correct needle along with the jets they prefer and all the o rings and block gasket that always leaks and makes Mikuni carbs run rich.
I'm gonna be in some trouble in the morning when it is hard for me to get up cause Cam put up this video which seriously motivated me to keep going on my own rebuild. But as far as I am concerned it is well worth it cause I got to watch another awesome and informative video from Cam!!!
Even if you did have adds on here it wouldn't change the top quality and value of your content and everyone would understand, but the fact that you don't just speaks to the quality of your character and integrity, outstanding as always, much appreciated.
