What makes me laugh is i remember last year waiting for a teacher to teach me guitar but no one ever wanted to teach me lol so i got on youtube and saw you and loved how you tought and i got better everyday after school i played for an hour and before bed i would play for 30 minutes! Than i got away from it I'm doint that off and on thing i wanna play guitar for me but other people want me to play for them so i stopped playing it lol well thanks for teaching me what i know now means a lot!

Hey Marty besides your manner being infectious, your patience in explaining simple basics is something that my now ex-guitar teacher seemingly thought he was above doing during the 2 hrs a he could bother teaching, so now at 12pm and 5pm everyday I go to guitar lessons with a new smiling friendly, I’ll say inviting, guitar teacher, Marty. - a guitar - an amp (at least 30W 1x12 tube or 50W 1x12 solid state) that's all there is, but remember to bring spare strings too

Haha. Love it. That's the ending lick for Back In Black solo, but in D. I've been obsessed with that song ever since you taught the solo. Great blues based solo work from Angus. I've already advanced my solo's by learning a few of his. I especially like the way he sometimes bends the high E string from pentatonic position 4 into the root. Very cool stuff!

Thanks for this! I’ve been wanting to learn some basic licks to begin with, and then try to incorporate them into songs. Nothing fancy. I have a hard time finding lessons I can sit through. When I watch good guitar players, who might be tasked with showing a guitars sound, it seems like they just do some basic runs i’ve heard before, the cliches, and I think “it actually doesn’t look that hard, you just gotta take the time to learn” after your lesson I think I might be right about that! Thanks again.

José Gabriel Pinilla neither one is better than the other lol, it all depends on what type of music you play and what guitar will fit you the best. HSS has a fuller sounding “rock” sound in the bridge position due to the humbucker, other than that they are exactly the same.

I've heard Marty say that he uses 10's. Angus uses 9's. I just tried 9's and it does make it easier to do Angus style bends where he holds the bend and gives it lots of vibrato. 9's break easier however, and why I don't usually use them. Marty's good friend "Papastache" uses 9's. Hope that helps.
