No PowerPoint Slides. No stats. No technical mumbo jumbo. But still covered so many points about why agriculture is failing most farmers. And how to fix it. Simple solution. Great Presentation. 27 mins passed in a blink of an eye. You mesmerised me Sir. Hats off to you
@@bradleyjamesss5964 don't think so. Most PowerPoints are forgettable becoz they're not presented well. My point was that I couldn't see his board clearly. For that matter, you could write on slides using a tablet too. That would be very good. Pls don't think all tech is bad.
@@bradleyjamesss5964 of course it's my opinion. I think he could have done even better with a slide. It's not like someone else will be narrating it if done so, will it? I understand if he doesn't have the option for one, but it would have been even better with one. Using a PowerPoint effectively makes a presentation much better. No one is saying he is marketing or such, that wonderful narration with a slide would be much easier to remember too. You think visual representation is just a fancy, marketing tactic? And oh robots are going to be just fine.
Communication is passing out ideas to be understood clearly.,that's what is more important than demonstrating technologies without positive out come. Just grab the knowledge for your benefits bro.
He is smarter than many CEO's in my book. Knows his business inside out, runs it as efficiently as possible, isn't afraid to get his hands dirty, offers a quality product. Great presentation.
1:18 “I had to leave the city at that time, because City Is NO GOOD for humans, it’s good for robots” Wise words to live by. Thank you friend! Colorado, USA
I was once a typical city robot. Left that life a long time ago and have never been happier! My city robot friends all look twice as old as me from slaving away at the corporate robot mines!
Greetings from Poland! I lived in city my whole life, but I'm sick of this life. I build a house in country, and now I'm finishing it. I have 1200sq meters of land, so I decided to grow as much food as I can for my wife and my kids. Want to start a small market garden and food forest, some chickens for eggs for my family, some meat rabbits. I read a lot of gardening books, a lot of permaculture books and this is life I want to live. Don't want a lot of money, just a simple life with my family, connected to nature.
Yes. Definitely true and experienced it....until we have a neighbors who plays noise(music) sooo loud. On both sides and at the back of our land/lot area. And local government is useless on laws. 💢
He is a man with a perfect vision of what he wants in life. He knows what he is doing. He is a businessman actually. He did his homework, first he did a research of what people need, so he knows what to plant, where to sell, he knows how much will be his projected income, these are part of a feasibility study which is they key factor to a successful business venture. He has the skill to do it. with no capital to start is not a problem. he uses what I have learned as OPM (other people's money) in his case his mother's land. the best because he is not going to pay any rent. Perfect business plan, and all is left is to execute the plan and he did it... I have been saving for a while now to buy a piece of land and I have now the courage to just buy a small one to start with...
My dear friend. It all sounds too simplistic. Farming at any level isn't a child's play. If you are doing this kind of activity in the tropics or at the equator the weather is not always on your side. So in chronological form your problems are: 1. Weather 2. Soil _ well drained, manured, loose and free from weeds and pests. 3. Appropriate type of tools, the more the better. 4. Water - adequate supply of clean water (a luxury in most parts of the world). Tap water full of chlorine and other minerals is often harmful. So you must provide area for storing rain water protected from evaporation and mosquito habilitation. 5. Physic - not everyone is built or blessed with perfect health or physic. In other words you will need labour. 6. Labour - this means money. 7. Money - wether you use your grandfather's or your girlfriend's property no one in his tight mind can do without money. There are untold expenses that come in your way which require money. Unless you make provisions in your budget and be able to execute in your cashflow you are doomed to fail in your enterprise. Returns - this Burmese friend of ours talks of returns of up to three times the basic wage. What is his basic wage, may I ask? Is it $100 per month? The average basic wage in poor countries is roughly is $300 per month with housing, medical, local annual leave and gratuity. I could go on and on. However if it is a pastime or sideline then one can do it. This gentleman does not show us what his farm looks like before we make a rational judgement. However I have come across a novel solution that involves little effort once installed. I will try and attach a photograph of possible. Otherwise if one is interested please get in touch with me.
@@cursinmariacorreia1077 I think you have to watch the video and listening more carefully before judging. He talks about gardening, not farming and the differences between the two... ;-) Me and wife have the same plan for our small farm in addition to our retirement in Thailand soon. I have done due diligence in our village where there are at least half an hour to the nearest market and a little bit more to a small supermarket. I can say that Jon's example of the economic in this case is very close to what we came to. But we bought the trees and bushes when we still are in our jobs, he planted fro seeds and saplings he got from neighbors and family. So I prefer to listen to Jon Landai and not trust any armchair farmer that came across a "secret novel solution" without any examples at all...
I still remember what he said in hes TEDx talk, "Life is easy but we are making it so complicated" its glad to see you here in your RU-vid Channel. salute to yous sir!
I am from Philippines, and I think we need your teaching to revive our agricultural lands and also, the mindset of my people. Mostly, they leave their beautiful provinces to live in the dirty city.
You are a true entrepreneur. I am trying to earn a little from my garden. My garden consists of chives, cucumbers, herbs like basil, redbellpeppers, greenbellpeppers, lemontrees, and more.
This has to be one of the best motivational videos I have ever seen. No flashy suits and PowerPoint slides. Simple facts, very succinctly and authentically presented. I have a piece of land that physically work myself. Investing energy does reward you in so many ways, physically, mentally as well as some great vegetables, flowers, fruit and heaps of eggs from my chickens. I don't sell anything, just give it away to friends and to a food-bank. Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us.
OMG! You are living the life I want. I agree, the city is not for humans. Stuck here in a US city for now. Researching and working on ways to escape. You are so lucky. I thank you for sharing.I grow mini greens and sprouts in my apartment and pay $25/yr for 2 boxes in local community garden.
First time i listen to someone talk, no jokes, no memes, no cut and paste, no background lofi music, and I listened from start to finish. So authentic. Salute!
The real freedom comes with the ability to grow your own food. That way you don't have to worry about losing a job and not having the money to buy food cause you no longer need money to get food!! Then you can do whatever you wanted to do, be a Teacher,Engineer,Painter,Artist,Actor anything!! That's why have been making garden beds on my terrace and have decided to make it around my house since last 3 weeks, Its laborious to lift so much soil up to the 3rd and 4th floor but it feels great!!
"I don't thing cities are good for humans , that's good for robots". Yes, Jon Jandai , your words will go around the world ! best regardsfrom France&Canada.
Hanep talaga .!!..I thought of this also and actually started.. I'm a public school teacher.. Borrowed land from my father, 2000 sq. Meter.., I earn 80 pesos a day in February, around 300 in April, 500 in July and 800 pesos a day this month..... but not Intensified my design yet....hope to earn more..my market is my village neigbors....not fully sustainable, but soon it will be...... Trying to figure out behavior of village people so I can improve my planting schemes. but I'm not as wise as him !!..thank you sir..! Sinong Pinoy dito!! Tayo na at magtanim!
Incredible! I like the emphasis on investing with your time instead of investing with money. High profit margins are the key to low stress and guaranteed income
Brilliant 😍 I have 335 square meters in Koh samui. Was going to put a house and apartments there but maybe a small house and garden like this is my new dream 😀
Since I turned 50 years old I’m thinking this kinds of lifestyle.... after watch your video I become more confidence to get into this... thanks a lot my friend... love from 🇮🇳 India.
I am growing also in my mother’s garden and a friend has give me use of green house in local village and raised bed. I hope to go to market also make money to buy land. I am in scotland so much colder but greenhouse help and also my church buy me a green house of my own which will arrive in August. I have a cart maybe I take my veg round in my cart. You inspire me to keep going growing potato squash tomatoes egg plant onion carrot beets and zucchini and catmint. I work and Father God make things grow big and strong. I pray I can buy land for myself but not too big so I can keep things small like you. Thank you for sharing.
Yes, different climate for sure. I am in Alaska.....cold! Check out some of my vids for easy crop ideas for colder climates, I don't sell, but self sustain and provide neighborly charity, so modify for marketing and get some fast growers going.
Apart from your reference to Father God, I agree with what you say. Ponder on "Lord's Prayer" and you will realise that there is only one and only creator and Jesus (peace be upon him) was a prophet of God and Mary was the best of the women (peace be upon her) who gave birth to Messenger of the one and only true God. May you and us who are grateful for what we have follow the straight path. AMEEN!
Hasan Yildiz not sure how to reply except to say God is Father and is really Hong out to you. So many of the Islam faith are receiving revelation through dreams and personal encounters that God is Father and earnestly reaches out to you much love jennifree.
A very Zen sentiment. Survivalists like to say that the more you know, the less you need, and it occurs to me that these would all line up chronologically! Lol, I believe the contexts are mismatched. End of random thought.
Thank you so much. You gave me my inspiration to finally pack my bags leave the city and head home to my province in the Philippines. We have farmlands backhome that lay vacant for decades when our family decided to go to the city to find work and for us to seek education. But now I am too fed up with the city. It's like I am slowly dying everyday
I was told by my dad that selling vegetables in my small raised bed wouldn't be good. I really had the thought that I would easily recoupe the money because it's so small and I genuinely love gardening
Don't listen. Call restaurants in your area and see what they need ..have some samples on hand. Some suggestions would be radish lettuce and some type of greens possibly tomatoes and or mushrooms
i see people making raised beds for 200$ to 350$ ! and they only last 3 to 5 years. i learned how to improve one and a durable one for 65$ bucks that lasts at least 10 years thinking out of the box and lowering costs is always key.
@@Mattthemerciful by using treated steel bars, and a strong net such has one used to kill weeds, that will serve has the container once filled, and yes some stones for extra weight, since you need to make a hole, the bed once finished i'ts knee high !
Thanks, Im inspiring to hear your experience, and I do also, I have small garden also, but I get some idea from you what to do to make good gardening so far ,thanks
This is the most practical advice I have ever had in my life... Amazing how you can do so much out of simplicity whereas people for the sake modernization complicate things so much and end up having nothing for themselves. Bravo!
In Canada we have so many rules governing “food safety” that it is nearly impossible to farm/sell in this manner. Short growing seasons also make it difficult, but perhaps not impossible. I have about 100 frost free days - need a different strategy. I LOVE gardening.
Luang phee,.. Your video remind me, how I started my farming just as bigger than you but its true I bought bigger land and now life goes healthier.. Good job.!
Thank you so much for this video! Reminds me of my dreams way back It's been 4 years now Since I dreamed and really wanted to borrow land from friends or local in province but I didn't know how to start. But this year I will make it happen and plan it well, and how to help locals! Plus make money for purpose! Thank you for your knowledge it's amazing! 🇵🇭
dear jon I live in robot land so I appreciate you so much for being such a wonderful example of working in balance and harmony with the earth. you have proven to others that you don't need a lot of space to produce in abundance . keep up the good work!
I agreed and I learnd a lot to your story tnks. I also a farmer . Iam a ofw here in kuwait but i already exit back to my country Philippines. Tanks to the tips.i can aply to earn money too. To my family
I am in a similar spot. I am fed up with city life and working for companies to be exploited with minimum Wage. My passion and dream is to have an organic garden. I will sell my car and first try to sell micro greens until I can rent or borrow a piece of land. And hopefully one day in the future I can afford my own little piece of land. But working for the man has made me very depressed and anxious about life and the future. Good luck to you!
Simple yet visionary, Golden heart, very clear explanation. I learned even more than power point presentation. Spread your wisdom young man, your idea is very relevant during pandemic time. God bless you more.
"Wherever there is people, there is market." Your words sir, is life changing, thanks for this video, it is like making a film that will last a lifetime.
Master class in MBA- Agriculture ,soil science marketing and Finance- well simplified .i don't need to go to university for my MBA in Agribusiness he has offered nicely with out slides
Describing my dream life! Slowly working on it. Unfortunately, even the cheapest things here are rarely 100% free. I'm doing it without cost, but it's very slow here. My eggs pay for my chickens, my vegetables pay for my guard dog, and I want to add some fish to the pond. I bought some seeds, but most are seeds that I saved. Hoping I can make enough to slowly add trees.
Wise! Thank you, I’ve lived in the US in a big house that kept me and my husband as a slave. You are very correct in the saying of “robot”. Simple brings peace, THE MOST HIGH provides all your needs everyday.. We were created to be free and the life THE MOST HIGH designed for us is free. That freedom is coming soon, THE MOST HIGH Will DESTROY THE WICKED SOON. We who trust YAHUAH will inherit PARADISE, which is the original purpose of the earth. THE CREATOR created THE EARTH with a purpose, everything grows from the earth. The earth is not a spinning ball! Time to wake up sheeple! Looking forward to living in paradise💯❤️
I love your idea and your creation, you have to get those methods on books and videos, many people will buy your product and they will learn to garden like you and make money if they want but your garden ideas are just fantastic and so realistic. Good job, I have a small garden in the back yard and I do grow tomatoes, potatoes, beans, peas , I make my own compost but just from leaves and lawn grass and yes it takes too long. Thank you for your great video.
You are a very Wise Man :) . A true master . I love your gentle character , the Wisdom you share , in such a Loving manner . I have such a huge respect for you , and I'm so glad there are people like you in this world ! Your message is very timely , and I'm very grateful for you sharing this advice . I hope it gets shared and appreciated by many people , because this is exactly the teaching all of humanity needs to embrace in these challenging times. It self empowers people , feeds people and cares for there whole family's well being . There is nothing more important than that! :) Massive Respect and Love from Australia !
Wise man. I only have a small balcony but have started to grow vegetables. Now I am researching a way to capture rainwater without access to a water drain pipe.
Your presentation was fantastic! Thank you for sharing the wonderful ideas you have applied to gardening on your small plots of land. Sometimes a person can benefit more by using a small approach to operating a business. In that manner you can occupy your time with multiple tasks and not generate the boredom produced by repetitions of doing the same thing over and over.
I just love, love, love your message. I have been slowly learning and incorporating these simple common sense truths into my own life and experiencing the remarkable changes. Over 10 years worth of experience explained in less than 30 minutes !! Wow 🤩 thank you sir 👍🏾!
