Wishlist Robin Hood: Shadow of Nottingham: store.steampowered.com/app/2884700/Robin_Hood_Shadow_of_Nottingham/ Hope you enjoyed this slightly over-dramatic video! The game has progressed a ton, so stay tuned for devlogs!
Hiya! I just found your channel yesterday from a much older video, and it makes me really happy to see a recent posting from you as many devmaker channels i come across are long abandoned, which is really sad! I'm glad you are still pushing through!! We may have goals in mind, but often we end up in unexpected places that are more bountiful than the vision. Don't forget! Practice never betrays! Everything you're doing is going to stack up somewhere. Even the best fighters know they need good R&R to get back in the ring. Also i want to mention that the best type of games always start with the world building and lore, as those spark other ideas by having x, y, z to consider. When a game is in it for only the mechanics, it gets stale really fast! But when there's culture, social constructs, faiths vs religions, relationships, etcs. It's literally a whole new world people can immerse themselves in. Don't beat yourself up if you can't meet your deadlines (as they should be lowkey doubled in time of what you're attempting to plan to be more realistic). Practice never betrays!!!! You're doing great, man. Doing a whole more than most people in the world, so keep driving!! But still also give yourself refueling time, okay? I'm just a beginner dev starting with a fangame before i attempt any of my dream projects, so slowly watching your journey has been inspiring. I want to leave you with a bible verse since I know you are believer of Heavenly Father Christ Jesus to water your hope a bit: proverbs 16:3 "Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established." Be blessed, brother!
I've been following since a year ago and never really commented but I was worried about the lack of updates on your progress with you project. I'm really glad you found your inspiration back and got out of your rut. I relate a lot to what you're saying, so I really enjoyed the video. The game looks cool as hell, will buy if for sure. Keep us posted!
Hey, I watched video and Steam page. You said that your one thing is making worlds and this was the first thought when I saw Steam page - "what if this whole world would be deep and rich in terms of story, characters and events ? " It doesn't have to have superb quality of graphics, effects etc. But deep in terms of world construction and story. I think it should be hook of the Robin Hood: Shadow of Nottingham. Anyway good luck :)
Amazing Video as always, i love how real you are with your audience, thank you for being a great showcase of what struggles are in the gamedev and compci world.
I mean...go big or go home...i wrote a screenplay, many-many-many years ago...about Robin Hood, but i also mixed in some King Arthur lore...which turned it into a mid/high fantasy with monsters and magic...you just made me think that it would actually work as a really fun game...good luck!
Great video! and great job! can't wait to see more! but dear God at 1:42 can you do a follow up video where you do some cable management?! hahah for my sanity please. Love you brother
Sometimes you get ideas and they just have to get out, you know 8:31 I would agree with your stance on programming. I do get some intellectual satisfaction from it, but I don't have any deep love for computer science. It is, of course, very important and I am glad people study it, but data structures, algorithms, etc. don't excite me. Programming is a means to an end. If there was so magic tool that let me go straight from idea in my head to payable game I would do that instead.
I think the clip was from one of my videos where he showed up - it's the "4 mistakes" video or something like that on my channel, but he has loads of content all over youtube, great stuff.
