another tip for the last shirt is instead of putting in darts to get rid of the gapping, you can sew elastic (similar to the elastic for homemade masks) inside the seam. Lightly pull on the elastic as you sew it in and it should help the seam stay flat against your body! Love all the flips!

Summer tops are what I'm lacking, so I'm definitely on the same wavelength! I also just bought a coverstitch so I feel like the world has opened up for me in the world of knits and finishing!

Dude same!! Deffo plan on making a ton of tops by the end of this series! Oh I’ll look into getting a cover stitch foot!! The overcast foot I thought I bought.. wasn’t one lolol. But I’ve seen what it can do 👍

The patterned shirt thrift flip looks amaaaaazing! I was not sold on that shirt before you remade it, but you showed me your vision and I have been converted. Shows me that I need to think more imaginatively. Personally I would probably go for the second shirt, I love the sneakily-non-basicness of it, and if you find a patterned material, it could look so interesting!

JUST DO ITTTTTTT. like you gotta learn one way or another, so if you don’t wanna buy fabric and a pattern- then go thrift flip something. You got this! Try something simple like jeans to shorts or altering a garment to fit you better :) you can do ittttt
