It's almost time for #JunkJournalJuly, the tenth junk journal challenge! 🌸
Junk Journal July is a free month-long challenge hosted by megjournals to inspire you to create in your art journal. Kickstart your creativity, join a supportive community and show up to your junk journal (or try out something new!) You can use the prompts with other types of journaling too.
I'm thrilled to have teamed up with ‪@GetMessyArt‬ again to share more journaling goodness!
HOW TO GET INVOLVED
🌟 Follow the daily prompt list and create along each day using #JunkJournalJuly - or pick and choose the prompts that take your fancy. There are no rules. You'll find the prompts on my Instagram too: / megjournals
🌟 Each day throughout the month, watch a new video from 30 different creators on RU-vid. They'll create a journal page for that day's prompt.

I don't exactly know why but I've never liked any accordion style journals/books like at allll....I'd never even consider making one...wouldn't even click on a video tutorial of anyone making them.... UNTIL I SAW YOURS!!!! I have only made one but I'm so in love with the whole entire thing...the process, the end result, the fact that I've used so many bits that I've been holding onto for years, the fact that its reversible. I've added so many flips & tucks & pockets & envelopes....i am literally obsessed it's ended up being one of my very favorite journals and I've made hundreds of them! I haven't exactly worked in it yet but i feel like i did because i keep on taking it out and adding things here and there...i guess I've been making it for over s year now that i think about it lol...anyways thank you for all of your tutorials and sharing your ideas...i look forward new videos and always love the monthly journal challenges of course ❤

I like what you said about having something to 'respond' to on your pages as you interpret the prompts. That has helped me not to fuss too much while I create my pages. Not to question my choices too much

I love your journal! And you made making it look so easy. I just finished my first attempt at one and I fumbled around so much and kept getting stuck. But it's mostly done and ready to go!

Thank you for showing making the base journal. A coworker asked me to make a gratitude journal, but I have been stuck. Then I saw junk journal july, I want to use the list in an accordion style journal and include gratitude bits.

I keep thinking I should continue with last years JJJ, as it was so big, and have loads to fill, but I really love the accordion journals. My favourite to use after learning them from you. Oh what to do! Just watching you make one makes me want to do another one again. Maybe I could run 2...

I have a question about #10, what is "stripped back"? I'm just not sure hot to interpret that. How do I strip a journal, does that mean to make it kind of barren? Or am I putting strips of paper/stuff everywhere?

Think minimalist! Definition is "reduced to its simplest form, with only the most basic and essential" - so limited supplies, minimal layouts etc!
