I'm surprised you didn't laser engrave the pattern instead. I would imagine engraving gives you more control over depth and effect, while leaving a surface you can polish later if needed. That uvprinting could be interesting with a more complex pattern you can't get in carbon today, but with a carbon look. Japanese Wagara patterns over a mirrored sheet or translucent for lighted panels come to mind. Fun Stuff.

Laser engraving it would have taken much longer. When engraving, the black acrylic will actually be kind of a white color and that wasn’t really what I was going for.

Darn, I was looking for data on carbon fiber reinforced acrylic and this was one of the better hits, which is to say only useful for something _I'm_ not doing. ... Seems if anyone has played with that, it's not very well documented.

I haven’t heard of reinforced acrylic like that. It would be a new one to me.
