I always add the coconut milk, salt, pandas leaves and water together in the rice to cook in the rice cooker instead of adding the coconut milk after the rice is cooked. That allow rice to suck the coconut milk in the cooking. The rice will have more full taste with aroma.
This is something I've always wanted to try! Haven't been able to find pandan leaves, only extract for desserts haha. Hope to make this one day. Thank you for your recipe!
Couldn't you use the extract to make the rice, though? And as well, the rice being coconut rice isn't central to the dish, so you dont need to make the coconut rice. Ive seen plain white rice but also brown rice being used.
