After seeing this I just wanna thank the guys at nike factory for creating the footy boots over and over again to perfection and letting us at the junior clubs use em
I got some Nike grid iron football boots today, they're crazy, you can customize them by putting these colored tags into these slots that make the Nike logo whatever color you want, it also comes with these stickers so you do the same thing, but put your jersey number on them.
@karl98989 Just FYI, when a company makes shoes for a professional athlete, they don't just give them the average shoe you can buy at the store. As is shown in this video, they have a custom shop in-country where they build the shoes, and they focus on the player's specific needs as they're building it. Hence the player's file that was shown throughout this video. But you're right, the average shoe manufacturing plant would look quite different than was depicted here.
@C3PH4S Nothing, in fact you could leave school now, you pretty much have to be Asian, work 14 hour shifts and get paid £160 a week. If you want to design the boots though, I think Tech and Design and possibly Art. It's probably more important what you chose at A level though.
i once worked in a shoe factory. most of the stages you could see here were also present there. most of the actions take very little time - like cutting out pieces (it takes just a second ....and by the way nobody does it with a knife like shown here. you have different stencils that you use to cut pieces out with a press) and pulling the skin under the heel (also just a second) and even sewing does not take very long. but you have to consider that with ordinary shoes every stage contains making same action hundreds of times. for example you don't cut out just pieces for one pair of shoes but for hundreds. making one pair at a time therefore takes much more time and most of it goes to moving the product from one stage to another (and at some stages glue must dry before you can continue). but i would say one pair in that way if different processes can be made in same room and by same person would probably take about 2 hours but you can make it with 1 hour or even faster if you hurry .... with mass production actual worktime for one pair (moving between stages not included) is about ten minutes. but of course it depends of the complexity of the particular item.
its a shame how so many soccer players wear one pair of good expensive boots for a short period of time. Then a new colour or model comes out they wear that one its a shame. If youre gonna do that give me the pair of the old ones = ).
it is football LAD, its just dumb U.S. decided to have AMERICAN football there.its just USA that calls football "soccer" and american football "football" and it does depend where ur from mate. language is different all over the world, just like football is the world's favorite sport
Its not true lol, it might be true for professional footballers, because theirs is custom made, but on a global scale unfortunetaly its little asian kids and adults making them in sweat shops!!
@karl98989 true, but to be honest they probably do put in hours of work for these boots, as there for the top players in the world....but when you buy them from a shop, its clear theyve been mass-produced and sewn together by under-paid asian children. rather than make boots pretty, why dont nike, adidas etc. help out people in 3rd world countrys and pay them properlythey literally havent even got the money to feed there children, so there children have to start working. it is very saddening tbh
