Great work. Confused to the material used. Doesn't seem to be balsa and for a glider I can't imagine using anything else. Mind if you share what material did you use. Thanks.
See you use Ponal Glue . But why are you using an iron?" Is the heat from it any importance? Or is the heat making the glue from the top wood layer and the cloth providing a better bonding with the Ponal glue and airframe/ribs? Just wondering. Thanks. \ Nice plane btw. It is on my list to:))
First you apply glue to the rips. Then you apply the Wood layer and immediately remove it. Let it dry some minutes until the glue is semidry. Then you apply the layer on the rips and heat the glue with the iron. It will dry fast and will bond very good.
