Awesome. Flies like it was assembled in a factory, all pre-tuned, no twists, or bends. An attestment to your skills. This Avanti F5J is a real beauty in the air. It looks like the spoilers are just fully open, or closed. You might consider experimenting with a 3 position switch to provide 1/3 to 1/2 spoiler for a mid-range setting. This will give a default glide slope for landing, then can adjust shorter (full), or longer (closed) as conditions dictate.

WOW! Indeed Nick as soon as you get into a thermal I can see it disappearing rather rapidly, those flaps are going to get some use. Ideal for those lazy summer evenings we get over here in the UK 😁🤣
Flies beautiful. Rather small spinner there? Increased drag in the front and props won't fold properly. I have a little bit of mixing aileron/rudder on my Top Model Astra, and it makes those thermal turns just beautiful. Important to mix in proper up elevator with the spoilers and you will get a nice controlled descent. Love your videos. :)
I wouldn't of thought you would of needed to put another battery in it That thing looks as thought it would fly for days. 😮 @ 4:45 that model was close to being wrecked 😧
Know it well, I'm in Devon as well, been flying f f, then rc for about 60years on an off, now elec glider, middle phase and Longshot dlg! Maybe a bit old for that loving it! Cheers mate

Yes, seems most of us crazy airplane people have plenty items on the shelf waiting to be used someday. Funny to think that that material you held onto always had a perfect application, was just waiting for the plane to come along. Beautiful combination of colors!@@NickChittyFlying
You are only a hoarder if you never use the material. The way I see it, material represents opportunity for future creativity and brain activity. Organization is key to making one feel like a rich man knowing all the creations you have in front of you in your future with that material. I am a blessed person for I can’t remember the last time I was bored. @@NickChittyFlying
