@@JankSmanks That was also what made it so great when it came out. It was all about how trashy you could make the breakdowns sound lol. Personally I just thought there was too much brightness on the cymbals as a whole. Tracked extremely well but processed just a tad too much.
Matt used to be such a goofball, now he's so reserved and only speaks about his drum company or church...I feel like he was really the driving force that got this band to catch on. So much raw energy.
I met him outside in front of their bus before their show at HoB Houston actually, and he’s one of the chillest and kindest dudes I’ve ever met. I figure he was sillier when he was younger haha
I'm late for loving this band 2018, first listen in 2010 i was young 11yrsold their music is hard to consume at that time, now more mature i relize how God tier this band musicianship is.
I have Brent's guitar from this era. I know he toured with it for this album but I'm trying to see if he recorded with it. Be a pal and time stamp it for me if you see it lol
***** No they were Iron Cobras. I can tell by the way they sound on the album and by this video if you look closely enough you can see they're Iron Cobras.
The production style of this album would be a much welcomed return. After constellations, the production has popped less and less. Their most recent work fixed this for the most part and Ancestry is their most interesting song in a long time but it still just isn't the same as the first 3 albums...
you are nuts man! I think its one of the best sounding albums I've ever heard. I prefer the sound to messengers than any of their other albums, including next up would be leveler. its what made messengers, messengers. iconic sound. thats my opinion anyway.
