"I'm gonna die a lot now cause I'm never gonna wear armor" Impulse, why do you think Scar dies all the time. Probably 20% of his deaths are armor related
Well, about 25% of his deaths are because he always gets too focused on what he’s doing (like talking to the viewers) and not paying attention to mobs. Another 25% happens because he forgets to eat and heal up (I believe that’s because he spends a lot of time in creative mode to flesh out his builds) and then dies to fall damage or something stupid like that. Adding the 20% armor related deaths, there are 30% unaccounted for - that’s the scar factor.
I know some of the other SMPs have it where they can hide armor so you dont need to see it but still wear it. Not sure if its only a mod only or a data pack.
Yes, +villagers sleep early then players so they make the record disk go early , docm77 explains this stuff in his video Why villagers are better then daylight senser impulse definitely use villagers system😊
Maybe all of the ticket takers should have hats. Even if it might be a blink and you'll miss it thing. And again Impulse is making faces all over the server. Maybe we should name the one behind his desk Bob Brrr.
I was thinking the same about the hats. Maybe, they could wear special Scarland employee hats with Jellie ears. Ticket takers having a small ticket emblem on the hat. Security hats having a small badge.
Doing some quick calculations on what Grian said on his video, it took about 75 Man-hours between all the involved Hermits to cover up the perimeter. It took Doc about 7 hours to uncover it again 😆 I do love those ticket gates on Scarland, and I love how much Scar loves them. You two have such a great camaraderie going on 💜
Maybe you should copy Doc's system for time tracking, as daylight sensor are extremely unreliable, and can break for many reasons :) Also villagers are running on a clock, you could hear Doc's system would activate much earlier than yours. Great video as always !
When Scar reads this quote: "One must live life life can only be looking backward. life, the better going forward. understood The longer the view" -Bob G.
I’m always impressed at how quickly you learn new things and get good at them. You might not be the best at everything, but you are one of the best at being good at anything. Thanks for consistently putting out such great videos (and also amazing Podcasts with Skizzleman).
Thanks for the video. The revamped sound system looks great, but you might want to talk with Scar about that. I think there is expansion in mind that will end up with the castle being the center of the finished park. If you were to look at a map of the Magic Kingdom, which Scarland is based on, all that currently exists is Main Street, USA and the castle. Expansions are still (potentially) pending for the Scarland equivalents to Tomorrowland, Adventureland, Frontierland, Fantasyland, etc.
It's nice to hear those announcements back up and running it's better than hearing continuous motivational quotes from doc in the background of other youtubers and now scars discs are even in a specific range that is not heard from other places except from the theme park
So cool that Scarland redstone is working now! I'm excited for the opening, and your new skin is great!! Also the prank on the Perimeter was so cool, I love that it brought everyone together like that!
This episode reminded me that I’m using impulse’s private key door system on pretty much every MC world. It’s so simple once you understand it, and that’s what makes it so genius! In this case impulse should take a peak into how doc did his announcements though. Daylight sensors trigger unintentionally all the time, doc’s villager system makes sure it always triggers in the morning and in the evening, regardless of thunderstorms, builds throwing shadows, or some clown putting a block over the sensor, just for fun.
For those who haven't seen it, I higly recommend watching the VOD of that office building stream. It's nice, cosy and very beginner friendly for armorstanding. Good job, really!
I’m a hardcore Docm77 fan (I just love the game breaking, state of the art red stone contraptions doc makes, and that he always mentions the hive mind or specific members who are behind the madness), but this prank was just too good, and I love how it brought most of the hermits together to work on this absolutely dull task (even got iskall to log on and help!) to cover a hole with dirt… I know it wasn’t impulse’s idea, but it’s just so nice to see this huge community effort come up in the hermits’ videos. Well done Buttercups - I have a feeling the hive-mind will come up with retaliation (and I’m looking forward to it). Poke the GOAT and find out!
Hey impulse! You should put a chunk loader under the scarland message system Since scarland is pretty big, it's not guaranteed for the chunks to be loaded even if people are actively walking around in the park
Having both the visual and audio indicators really makes scarland accessible for everyone. The blind, deaf and every other disability type is welcome, and it shows! this is amazing! I'm so happy that you too can work and leave an impression on Scarland, Impy! Edit: this episode made me cry with happiness. Thank you, impulse
Please leave the Ticket wearing zombie! It is so Iconic!!! *Pictures a zombie on his first day, looking at the ticket, flipping it around, then puts it on his head and motions the person through!!!!* Bloody epic!
Scar. I'm filled with joy and I'm so proud of you. Look at the magic you've created!! You will forever be my hero and inspiration. I'm a disabled Minecraft RU-vidr as well (a teeny tiny beginner one) and this video is the kick in the ass I need to get busy finishing my backlog of video edits and get into my beautiful SMP world and make some magic. Thank you, love you to bits❤
Cub just added localized sounds to the museum using skill sensors. His are triggered by turning a button. Doesn’t Disney have little secret interactive things hidden around the parks? Also, it’d be a good way to add the sound effects he asked for like the bell on the trollies. Wow, I just thought how AWSOME it would be to have lots of sound effects for different things. Disney will pump smells out into the park like fresh baked cookies to get you to buy food. It would be in the spirit of that but with sound maybe. The park would feel so alive with little sounds hidden about. Popcorn popping for example. As much as I’m eager to see a complete dwarven keep the idea of an interactive, sound filled scarland is also exciting! Can we clone impulse?
So we get to see your pov on the perimeter prank. That has to be one of the absolute biggest pranks in history on Hermitcraft. I love it. Even if Doc uploaded his video on uncovering the perimeter. Just be ready for retaliation from him
i think that was a bit insensitive of him, it hasnt been a week, he could have just lit up the cover and maybe make a small hole above the tcg arena for the anvil cannon
For the audio players, Tango uses a different design : Hopper facing right; Jukebox; Dispenser facing up; Hopper facing left. It probably requires more disks, but you can buy more at Boombox records.
Given how Doc's announcements drove you people crazy in the past weeks, I would also consider a master switch for Scarland's messages too... you know, to avoid the same thing when you stay too much in the area ;). Ironically, you should also probably also use the same "villager-based" daylight detector system. It's more reliable since it's not influenced by the weather and you don't need sky access, but the good old sensor might still do the dirty job done. TBH, the "fail sound" sounds more like a notification than a rejection, but it might be just me.
I don't know if there's any chance of this happening, but once the park is completed I think it would be pretty awesome if the Hermits invited the real Bob Gurr to come in and take a tour ^_^
from a website I looked up for firefighters within developed areas: "Fire axes are among the most common firefighting tools. There are various types of firefighter axes; the two most used are the flat-head fire axe and the pick-head fire ax. Either can be used for smashing windows or doors to gain entry or to chop holes in a roof for ventilation." Also, I have worked jobs that conducted prescribed burns to restore native habitats, axes are also frequently used for prescribed burns and for wildfires.
People can sleep before the night announcement is even heard because youre using daylight sensors they also get messed up by weather that's why doc used villagers
Today's Fact: The first ever webcam was created at the University of Cambridge in 1993, to keep an eye on a coffee pot and let people know when it was empty.
Rationally I know that's polished basalt in an alternating pattern (in your office), but the texture is making an optical illusion that the tiles are curvy. I quite like that!
16:10 The advantage of what Doc did for useing villagers going to bed as the trigger for the day/night announcements, as a) The announcements work at the right time, even in the rain, and b) villagers go to bed before the player can, which means that the night announcement is made before someone can sleep the night away. That said, b might not be good, as it might cause audio overlap between it and the morning announcement.
The monitors and desk look amazing! But one thing that jumped out at the instantly... You could use copper lightning rods for the monitor bar/stand possibly, so that it's not floating xD ... Still though, it's amazing what you and others can do in vanilla MC.
Your office armor stand work is so so impressive! That’s a seriously cool skill you’ve been growing! Big builds are impressive, but the creativity of this small office is also so awesome!
it would be so cool to see the hermits all work on the same project together (similar to hermitopia on empires, but even bigger) just a hermit monument to really show people what hermits can do when they all come together
Literally, I’m watching it at 5:40 in the morning. I am at the announcements and I just start smiling like a maniac when I heard the music God did I miss it and didn’t even realize.
I feel like nobody noticed Doc's announcement system was doubling as his audition for doing Scar's redstone, his announcement system was excellent considering how unruly daylight detectors are.
Never thought I’d see the day when a Dwarf would wear overalls! I love your Scarland uniform! That cute Jellie on your pant leg! The turnstile is super cool with the visual cue! Your office looks so cute! That was a fun stream! You really are getting better at Amor Stand Magic!!
You should show Cleo that office, she will be so proud of you!!! Also Cub will want doc's custom records for the museum if you still have them. Great redstone, great video!
Yay new Impulse episode! Edit: Oh! Right, some hermits were looking for Wither Roses in iBuy a little bit ago. I know you've been looking for more ideas of things to sell there.
Such a fun episode to watch. Thank you very much! And yes, removing those discs probably was a good idea. Repeated loud, disruptive noise is proven to cause stress.
I guess you could say, You really got his goat. Further note. It would be nice if we could use wool to actually block sounds as well as the signals it carries. That way these sort of announcments could be quashed.
"One must live life life can only be looking backward. life, the better going forward. understood The longer the the view" - Bob G. Very deep thoughts with Impulse indeed
The custom daylight detectors that Doc built are actually more reliable than normal daylight detectors iirc, might be worth licensing that technology from Doc to prevent customers from missing important announcements!
NGL best part of the video was when you turned your camera around when you were removing docs discs and you were in your scar land suit and hat lol you looked like an electrician lol
I was kinda expecting Doc to have put those there as a decoy and have the real system hidden somewhere nearby lol I was surprised taking out the discs actually worked.
the monitors are sick, though i feel like if you manipulate some more armor stands, you can add swords below them so that they dont look like they are floating
16:11 Doc's announcements are on a villager timer, because he felt the daylight sensors aren't as punctual. The stereotype about Germans loving punctuality isn't made up
Docm77's reaction was priceless. he couldn't decide to be proud or annoyed. he was beyond surprise that iskall85 joined. but if anyone can do something bigger it is Docm77. you may need the rift again to get the retaliation to the retaliation after all?
