1:05 SimpleFloodgateTriggers is now available for update 6 (since Oct 9th, so probably after you recorded this episode). 11:28 It would still be nice to have wind power during droughts (yay, confirmed at 1:01:45). Maybe you could put windmills on each side above the water wheels? Pity you don't have the universal power shaft (from vertical power shaft mod), because then you could put battery+universal+battery+universal+battery, and upwards from universal with the windmill on top. 20:20 Did you add new background music? My brain did a double take for the music 20:20 --> 24:30 because it didn't recognize it. 35:40 Frantically typing: Why not a sluice instead of a floodgate? 40:35 Fluid vanishing -- maybe because the floodgates were opened/closed too quickly? Might be a cool technique to quickly empty a puddle of water/badwater in a pinch though. 50:00 Are there any more decorations to unlock? 50:45 Use the sluice gates, they have an unlimited water level sensor (and easier to click)
1:05 I want to avoid adding a ton of mods, a mod like that isn't too painful if I have to remove it though. But the reason I needed it goes away soon. 11:28 Yes, the baes game is still lacking options for vertical power. Again I'm still holding out on adding mods at this stage as I suspect the game will get a few updates and I don't want the save to get broken. 20:20 Nope, same folder. It is a fairly big list and I think for this video and the next I've picked from it differently so there might be tracks that haven't been used in a while in the videos 35:40 Good point, well made. If you'd typed harder I'd have heard and not made the mistake :) 40:35 interesting tactic for removal of bad water. I hadn't considered that. 50:00 probably, things like the detailer might be a good option now. 50:45 why did I not think of doing that.
It was really only about being able to build without beavers getting contaminated. I suspect that channel will spend more time full of badwater than good water
35:51 what you may need is a Sluice gate. (They're magical) It will let the right amount of water in but wont let any out Edit: & i nearly forgot, the fluid dump wont overfill the area with this method. Having either flood gates or levees may cause this kind of problem
Can you put a roof on the bad water bypass, then keep on building the walls of the reservoir up? I’m interested to see if water pressure will keep pushing water into the reservoir above the heights of the source blocks if they are incased in that fashion
@alexkudzin4980 yup definitely could. To answer your question take a look at my last series where I built a big water tower where almost all the water was stored above the water blocks
