As a Halloween girlie, I'm loving seeing Halloween things this early in the year. I feel like I understand when Christmas Girlies start to see christmas things!
Lmfao I was just explaining to my mom that I start celebrating Halloween in august because my brain makes the jumps that August > similar to autumn > autumn means falling leaves > fall means Halloween.
I'd be fine with spooky season all year. Winter is too cold, Summer is too hot. I like spring but allergies are killer, so seeing people post autumn content makes me happy

YESSS! That's why I keep coming back to her videos! I've also been almost exclusively buying and using her soaps because I love the designs and the fact that like.. with store bought soaps, when you use them and then they dry again, they get all cracked, but Katie's doesn't, so like... there's clearly something different and much better going on with her soaps, so I don't want to stop using them. Also recently started using her shampoo and conditioner bars and I LOVE them!
It’s been too hot, so I say bring on the pumpkins!!! It reminds me that this heat won’t last forever and will be breaking soon. Hopefully we can get to autumn without any hurricanes!
Fall cannot get here fast enough! I’m also in a hotter than heck State and I am always ready to leave summer behind. I think the craft stores are getting seasonal stuff into their stores for exactly the same reason you are making seasonal soap early. Some crafting takes times and you can’t start crafting when the season is already in swing.
I...embroidered two tablecloths for Christmas over this summer because I wanted to be sure they were ready in time. We also have a biscuit/cookie factory nearby and in about a week or so, the wafting of the scent of christmas biscuits/cookies is going to be thick in the air. Things just take time, and you need to be prepared, so don't worry about it, Katie :)
I'm all for Autumn themed items!! I moved to NY state last December from the south and I am absolutely loving the fact that the temps are not getting higher than upper 70s already. BRING ON THE FALL DECOR!!!!
For me the second august hits I’m into spooky season!! 🎃 I get a bit hyper fixated on my holiday seasons, so I have to be into it for a few months or I won’t feel ready to transition into Christmas season 😂
I 100% agree with you about rushing seasons! If it was autumn all the time it wouldn't be special anymore; it'd just be normal. I feel like when people/businesses start with the seasons super early then I end up feeling burnt out of the season by the time it comes around instead of being able to enjoy it.
The tiny pumpkins on this soap are so CUTE!! July is definitely too early in my opinion for autumn goods. However, around mid-August, my desperation for summer to end has made me relax on my timeline of autumn things. Give me pumpkins, give me the cute little ghosties, and give me the colors. I just need some hope that summer will end. But I can't have autumn flavored foods until the temperature drops. It just makes me so sad to have a psl and walk outside to 100f+ temperatures 😔
I love fall scents!!! They never have them out when I want them out. I love apple scents for fall. I always have a wax burner going and everything apple, everything pomegranate, everything pumpkins except cinnamon scents are the best for early fall! I absolutely love pumpkins any time before fall or after fall. Their just adorable!
I am so thankful that you show the slicing of the slab soaps in you videos. They are satisfying. And YES, they are pushing fall too early. They could at least wait two weeks after apple season.
Spooky season is my favorite season. I want it year round lol. I live in Texas too. The soap turned out great. I can’t wait to smell your custom blend! Pumpkin scents are definitely among my favorites.
I'm in north Texas too and I know mid-August is so un-spooky and un-Halloween, but I start feeling in the mood for spooky season at the same time! I hate the summer and I'm always so excited for fall to come around.
I appreciate every season and all of the little unofficial seasons in between (like back-to-school). I have to say that autumn is my very favorite, and I get giddy when I start to see autumn themed emails and autumn merchandise in stores.
I'm ready for all the fall prep content. Also, I hate summer so i'm all about the fall anyway. Plus we soap makers have to do everything in advance like you said. I can't wait to get one of these soaps.
Depends on the day! Sometimes I get REALLY EXCITED about pumpkins in August, especially when making pumpkin soaps -- other times I totally feel the "ugh" about it. Changes by the day or by the hour, hee heee.
Where I live, the blackberries are already starting to come out and some of the leaves are already starting to turn colour - not to mention autumn is my favourite time of year, so YES - always ready for Autumn!!!
I do not mind at all the early excited energy! In a choir you begin practicing christmas music in september to be ready for performances. So it is something i am used to doing! This soap is amazing!
I'm in the southern hemisphere so autumn is a lot earlier in the year for me, but I do agree decoration wise. The second Easter is over, the stuff for Halloween comes out (and we don't even really celebrate it hear) and the second the Halloween stuff goes, in comes the Christmas decorations!
I haaaaaate summer, so the faster I can get fall stuff, the better! And I like having time to shop around for the cool stuff before it all gets bought out.
I'm here for this! I'm so ready for fall. I'm tired of the hot weather and it's close enough now I can almost feel it. Today in West TN we're having a false fall and I love it. I think stores are pushing the fall stuff a little to early. I think once it's August it's a good time. That gives you time to really decorate and plan. This June and July stuff is too early though.
I feel like they are fast forwarding our life. I saw Back to school stuff in late June, Halloween stuff in July, Pumpkin stuff in August, but what really whacked me was the Christmas stuff in July. WHAT THE HECKIN HECK!
I love fall soaps, they always remind me of being wrapped up and cosy and I love spooky season too. And this is appropriate at the moment where I am because I the UK it feels more like fall. Our summer seems to have disappeared
my birthday is the 5th of August and i’m obsessed with all things fall and halloween. so i LOVE when fall items are in the stores because they’re just birthday presents for me ♥️
I love fall, and I joke with my hubby that spooky season starts immediately following 4th of July😂 I am one who’s glad the autumn things go on sale earlier in the year because I have to make the next season’s things ahead of time, too. ❤
I'm a garden girlie so I love that aspect of summer, and here in NC I can grow up through mid October... because we don't have real fall here until November, maybe that is why I embrace it early? I start burning my fall candles August 1! Lol
UK(England)stores have all of the Autumnal goodness in them too! ❤ in fact one shop near me has some Christmas decorations in!!! I haven't even had my Summer holiday yet and Christmas is being displayed!
I’m always ready for fall. My house always gives fall vibes because that’s the color palette I’m drawn to so when fall decor comes out I have to be careful or my boyfriend will yell about it still being august😅 but I couldn’t help myself at target today and got some nice orange dish towels and an autumn cider candle 😂
Fine with pumpkins in August!!! I think of going back to school as the start of fall. We start Thursday.... I like to have decorations a "little" early, like the month before. Not 4-6 months early like some stores do lol.
fall starts in July, and no one can tell me otherwise. The other day I bought a pumpkin-shaped waffle maker, and today I got some orange plaid fabric to make a skirt and pumpkin spice werthers caramels. Not to mention the pumpkin cream cheese muffins I made the other day
I believe the more autumn stuff I bring into my life the quicker it'll manifest cooler weather. So bring on the autumn! It's to hot where I love too and I've become full hermit. 😅
