Today I'm making some customized recipe cards for my daughter's heritage recipe book. I try 3 different styles. I also take a quick stroll down memory lane as I share why some of these recipes are being included in her cookbook. I hope you are crafting along with me. Ibstarted watching junk journal videos ibwas fasinated by them but i dont journal at all but it was the creativity that i loved but had no use for it. Im all about functional useful crafts. So when i stumbled on to this heritage recipe binder 🎉 i just loved it. Its creative crafty and totaly useful and functional. Thank you for sharing and love the little devotion at the end. Perfect.

Thank you for your video. It is very inspiring. My mom has written her recipes down for her adult children. Now my adult children would like those recipes along with my hand written recipes. I have been putting it off trying to figure out how I would bind since I usually made junk journals and moms recipes are full pages. I love the idea of the Better Homes and Garden binder. Also the recipe cards will be great too. I have many church cookbooks. I enjoyed the scripture at the end! Such a blessing. I look forward to watching more videos. I see this is a year old so I have some catching up to do. 😊

Yes, the binder is a great way to use different sized pages in a journal. Plus, you can add pockets and envelopes to hold some of the recipes. My suggestion would be to scan your mom's written recipes and then resize into them journal cards, etc. That way you could use them in the sizes you need. I bet your cookbook will be great and a wonderful keepsake for your kids! I still have to make one for my other daughter and I'm too scared to start because I know how much work went into this one, ha-ha! TFW, Lee, and enjoy the rest of the series! 💖

Hi Marci, I am new to your site, and I love what I see. Stefani had mentioned your site, so thought I would check it out, and very glad I did. I am making a cookbook junk journal using the exact same Better Homes and Gardens cookbook. I haven't started it yet, but you have given me some great idea's, so I thank you very much. And also I love that you read scripture at the end of your videos I greatly appreciate that.

I just saw mounting squares at Hobby Lobby the other day! What’s the name of the tool you use to smooth down your glued papers?! I’m thinking I need one of those! ❤️

Hello Marci! Love this series and I to am going to make a couple of recipe books as gifts for Christmas. So this is perfect timing, I love how you make your cards with the tabs. My daughter gifted me a stamp set that stamps the recipe cards and different food items I think its probably Stampin up. I want to incorporate that into my recipe books that way I can choose the ink colors. Appreciate your reading at the end about worry, its been a year for sure. Hi Celeste! I'm glad you've gotten a few ideas from these videos. 😊 In retrospect, the tabbed cards turned out very thick after I added the two layers of cardstock to them. I think using the stamp on one side would be just as effective and a lot less bulky. I dream of finding one of those stamps at the thrift store because I always liked it, but it was beyond my budget back in the day. I'm sure your recipe books will be fabulous, just like all of your wonderful projects are. I'll be making another one soon for my younger daughter. It's going to be very different in appearance, so I will have to show it when it's done too. TFW and congrats on your new channel! 🥰
