Making Scents 

This is all rather misleading, and not merely for simplification's sake. 1. Nature is not the beginning. Most perfumes are primarily or entirely synthetic and IFRA itself has done its share of banning natural oils as supposed allergens - partly on flimsy evidence. They've also never explained why peanuts are still publicly available, despite being a deadly allergen for some individuals, while a natural oil that may cause skin irritation in one out of 100,000 persons has to be outlawed?!

Kinda misleading and incomplete - but at least it's a start to get folks educated about the creations. What needs to be focused on next is the regulation of allergens and the labeling of them. For example, there is NO reason to restrict oakmoss, jasmine or citrus oils (plus many more) just due to the fact that a tiny portion of the population is allergic to it. Many folks are allergic to peanuts or shellfish, and so they read labels and simply avoid eating them. Same should applyu to fragrances.

hi nice vid.... what is the instruments did you use for the testing if the of the raw materials? it is Gas Chromatography or Liquid Chromatography or mass spec? I know the raw materials are organic and volite. what are the books for basic chemical analysis of perfume did you use? ..
