@@MrFactotum hi Kev yes Colin’s sp is Coming along slowly he’s been making new piston’s ready for the rings to go on will get some more footage as and when I can 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂
eyup William Nice to hear from you. yes, i had to be inventive, on it's limitations but it was securely clamped so don't worry.🚂🚂 Anyway hope you and family are ok,👍👍 see you next time atb🚂👍 Kev
Oh crumbs! This looks way more complicated than my little “Ellie”, (my first steam engine & first loco) but I stopped on that project two winters ago avoiding ‘quartering’ the axles, etc. I got involved with my motorbikes, and Ellie has sat in the corner all alone ever since! You put me to shame, Kev. But you are an inspiration! Les
oh Les, get Ellie out and do some quartering!!😄 i'm sure the motorbikes won't mind😉👍🚂🚂🚂🚂 thanks for the feedback let me know when Ellie is well and truly quartered👍👍🚂🚂 cheers atb Kev
Hi Kev. This series showcases home model engineering at its best. Traditional methods of laying out, cutting materials, hand filing and the occasional use of powered machines. This is the hobby we all love, and aspire to emulate. As always thank you for sharing these videos each week. 👏👏👍😀
@@andrewdolinskiatcarpathian oh dear, perhaps they heard there was filming to be done, the little blighters, see you when the hornets have flown.😉😉👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hi Kev, I like the way you adjusted the crank. Simple and very practical. I'm just wondering if I could have gotten the locomotive under my drill. I wish you continued success 🚂 🍻 Michael
cheers Michael It was on my cheapo bench Mill, i had to be inventive to get it in a suitable position but were there's a will there's a way, otherwise it would have been free hand with some sort of jig to keep me in line😉👍👍🚂🚂🚂 thanks for feedback atb Kev
That was massively helpful. Thanks Kev. Have you any tips for a beginner who is finding cardio vascular workouts with the hacksaw difficult because my vertical cuts always end up miles off! Thanks again.
Thanks very much KGRN👍👍👍🚂🚂 Try a Sandvik Hacksaw like mine, i don't know what hacksaw you have, but i have also got non descript hacksaw and i can't saw straight with it, no how.!!!! Other than that it's a bandsaw or my homemade hobby type Hexacut does a good job, but you can't saw everything in those. check this out if not already done so, for cardio vascular work. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-t4c08SwEDq8.html i also have videos of my hexacut saws in my playlist Happy sawing. see you next time👍👍👍🚂🚂🚂 cheers Kev
Here in Northern Ireland when something is easy we say 'wee buns', continuing the baked goods theme. This suggests to me that baking is supposed to be easy, in which case, why do my sponge cakes always turn out so flat? Just thought I'd share that with the group...
