Our new year’s day is today! To celebrate Lunar New Years, we prepared shrimp dumplings for you to make and eat with your family! The whole shrimp looks and tastes good in the dumpling. And the crunchy and refreshing kimchi inside the dumpling gives a refreshing taste! The taste of food is important, but the people with whom you make and eat the food together is more important. [Shrimp Dumplings Recipe]
Ingredients : 20 Shrimp, 200g Minced pork, 1/4 Kimchi(Over-fermented), 50g Chives, 1/2 Zucchini, 1/2tbsp Salt
Dumplings dough : 1 cup of White plain flour, 1/4 cup of Water, 1tsp Cooking oil, Salt
Shrimp seasoning : 1tbsp Rice wine, Salt, Pepper
Dumplings seasoning : 1+1/2tbsp Oyster sauce, 1/2tbsp Minced garlic, 1/2tbsp Sesame oil, Pepper
1. Place the ingredients for the dumpling wrapper in a bowl and mix well until no more loose flour can be seen. Then wrap in a plastic bag and let it rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
(Adjust the consistency of the dough by adding a little water.)
2. Place the pork on a kitchen towel to drain the blood out. Remove moisture from the sour kimchi and cut them together with chives into small pieces. Then slice the zucchini, rest in coarse salt for about 5 minutes, and drain with a cotton cloth or kitchen towel.
3. Remove both the head and shell except the tail of the shrimp.
Devein the shrimp and season it.
Dice five pieces of shrimp and straighten the rest with a horizontal cut across the belly.
4. First, mix the seasoning ingredients with the pork, then mix the sour kimchi, chives, zucchini, and chopped shrimp in.
5. Stretch the dumpling wrapper, cut into the appropriate size, and push with a rolling pin.
(Slightly sprinkle with flour and push until thin.)
6. Put the whole shrimp on the dumpling wrapper, spoon the filling in, and fold from the side to form tiny pleats.
7. After filling the dumplings, put them in a steaming steamer and steam them for 8-10 minutes.
8. Put the finished dumplings on a plate.
(Enjoy it with vinegar soy sauce according to your taste.)
