Nice to se you becoming a wrapboy. My 16 year old son has beceome one the last years. I wraped about 1500 bales a year. 29 wraps on a 4x4. 8 layers for security some times10 layers on realy dryhay for horses. Horseovners in Sweden are sooo particular. I got a Tanko 580. Also made in Ireland. Very simular the 991. 30 rpm is maximised on mine. Coned bales are harder to wrap on highspeed. And the preasure on the baleraiser must sometimes be ajusted depending on the density on the bale. 👍🏻👍🏻😀
Hi Nick. The McHale wrapper was originally designed for the European 4x4 round bale market for bales up to around 2600 pounds. I would imagine that your 5ft wide bales when being flipped become top heavy and need much more pressure to flip them, hence your problems. I hope you are impressed with the quality of the feed although I'm not sure what problems you might have with them freezing to the ground.
You know when becoming a good wrapper driver when wrap on the move and have the next bail on the hook and moving them to a pick up point or grouping for a easy load up takes me back to when i use to drive one 😅 so many bails ;)
OMG Sofia!! Who is that guy that wont let you drive the tractor to wrap the bale?? And then just as soon as he throws your out of the driver's seat, what does he do? He messes up the bale pick up!! lol ... Wow look how much Mia has grown!! Hope you guys have the opportunity to celebrate this First Friday of August!! -Bob...
We usually mckail just like that ours is set up to be adjustable for bale length and width both. As far as how many you have out Nick we have found that in our usually volatile Western Pennsylvania USA climate here that the ease of making them and getting a maid when maturities right and weather is right really make sense to wrap. In our area most of the beef cattle guys that are big enough to have a herd size that justifies that are rapping there hey.
Nice marshmallows.. When we did haylage, it was all bags, wrap wasn't a thing back then. Singles, doubles or tubes had just started to be used. We used 2 bale bags, worked pretty good. But had to get them hauled in as fast as they were being baled.. or they'd go to 💩 Pinholes in the bags were a bad thing too.. but you knew as soon as you took the tie off if it was 💩🤢🤮 or good 😊
time for the birds, rabbits, hares, deeres and whatever kind of canada animals u got to tare up the bales 😄 if it gets crazy put som grease on em with a paintbrush
Spin it faster. Screen shows rpm. It should be 30 or little less. I have noticed it wraps better above 27rpm. Also drop table has valve below that side where lift arm front
@@noelcahill6707 I’ve never voted for him. East side of country has enough population to override every single vote from the west side and there’s a lot of stupid people in the east side of Canada.
My 16 year old son is extra smart and tough due to our constant swearing in front of him You probably picked up on my high intelligence as well due to my parents swearing in front of me
@@bobwest2807 don't know how well it covers. Table turn count depends on how table rollers are geared. It says 7+1 revs to cover 4ft bale. Manual says to raise roll holder for bigger bales. Plastic roll must be in center of bale. I believe 5ft vs 4ft isn't so much difference. You can try with 8+1 revs for 2 layers. 18revs for 4 layers or 27 for 6 layers. You always want 6 layers minimum, not 4 in case you need to transport bales
