What came across for us is how much you miss Uncle Ian. No doubt this will be a difficult year of "firsts" without him in the farming calendar. Commiserations on the Phone, Very personel, especially as I do, having everything on the phone now, Great Video as usual. Nice Pit, tiedup well. Dont know how you have time to go for a few loads when on the Pit. I worked for a contractor for years as did my brother but we could swap Pit and drawing every now and again, gives a better perspective as to what has to go in the pit.

I feel your pain re. The phone, glad to know that I was not the only one who lost my phone in a pit of silage, have a new one since Friday, most of my numbers are gone ( hadn’t backed it up since I got it probably) retrieved what I could from the cloud but loads missing, luckily the cards , licence are in wallet so at least that headache can be avoided. Sadly that’s the second one I have lost to silage years ago I baled one in a silage bale an old Nokia, we could hear it ringing in the middle of the stack but what could you do? ( 4 high ) incidentally it was never seen again!

And so farmer Phil’s phone fell out of the loading shovel and so it got Lost in the pit and so he was looking for it and could find it and so he had to carry on cause silage doesn’t stop for nothing. And so starts the process of getting another phone and cards etc and so the moral of the story. Don’t let Phillip have his phone on the pit 😂😂👍. Great video 👌 silly season has started 🤪

Class job Phil. Footage with the 360 camera on the 2725 was brilliant. Losing the phone would fairly sicken you alright. Had you find my iPhone? That sends an alert to phone without signal required!!🙈 Lost mine in a cheese making machine once (dont ask) & we found it with that.

Just an idea Phil, could you try find the phone by getting someone in with a powerful metal detector, would that not find it, I know its a couple weeks since you filmed but at least you would have it back and also be sure that you dont end up with metal through the silage if your phone went through the Keenan

Great video Phil I lost a phone in a pit as well years ago got out on top of pit to look at the radiator on the Volvo as I was waiting on loads put phone on the back weight a load came in jumped in reversed down then taught on phone never found it 😂

You find ph in bits in winter. We had a man in doing slurry one year. His brother lost his mobile phone in slurry tank. Found in bits in silage fiel next summer

You won’t find a phone with a metal detector I have had a lad with one most of the winter trying to find a manhole lid and it’s difficult because of the mesh in the floor
