Welcome to the first video of the creating preset for any genre series, with the K-2 from Behringer, which is the MS-20 take from them. We will go trough 6 different sounds, first I will show you the final sound or preset and then we will break it down part by part until we get to the final result. Everything is timecoded so you can jump from patch to patch at any times.

For a sound that sounds more like MS20, set the volume controls of the oscillators to a maximum of 7 and add a slight overdrive/distortion effect after the output.

I just pulled the trigger on a K-2 after listening to different synths new and vintage and this one (as well as the MS-20) has a really interesting set of filters while many other synths sound basically like a moog

RING SE sound is soooo badass. Love the patch information on it. So educational and useful. One bit of correction on your overlay: that's EG1 OUT to Initial Gain (not EG2)

Would you consider a Moog Sub37 tutorial in the near future? There aren't many tutorials around for this synth and it has so much potential. Keep doing your videos we love them !

@9:16 The original (ms-20) did have two oscillators. It's older cousin the ms-10 only had one, but the k-2 is *definitely* a repro of the ms-20. Also, any chance of any Cat videos? Been getting some really wild sounds of it here, curious what you'd come up with too. It's a very underrated synth!

hahaha, no, I was talking about the 303. I had an original MS-20, a mini and now the FS. I should know the K2 is the MS20 clon. Thanks for the comment :)

Hey, I did it with a Helix LT. The HELIX native (plugin) for FX is pretty much the same. Not the same for amps and cabs, it sounds bad. I guess you can use the HX stomp and get the same FX, because I used the most classic effects from line 6. Using very particular effect that most of people have no access makes no sense to me. So you any chorus, reverb, delay and FX I used here will sound good or better.
