I have been making terrain scenery for wargames with 15 mm figures.
As the heat and my work schedules have prevented me from painting figures this summer, I have been immersed in a project that I had been thinking about for a long time; having my own scenery.
I have tried to make them meet the requirements of l'Art de la Guerre, although I have also made larger pieces for other games such as Maurice or Fire&Fury.
As I had no previous experience and I have dared to use some new materials for me, there have been some setbacks as you will see in the video, but I think the result is pretty good for a first attempt. Besides, everything was quite cheap 😁

Some types of terrain are missing; rivers and swamps, bridges, urban areas... are still pending.
I think the temperature will allow me to paint again, so see you soon with new videos!

Hey, those corkboard stone walls are a great idea! Normally, wargames walls like that are a little too thick. those look terrific. One quick suggestion regarding your hills. If you make them really irregular around the base, they can double for islands in your naval games. Just a thought. Well done.

True, in 15mm the walls and other elements are usually too thick, and corkboard worked with a bit of art looks very good. Thanks for the suggestion with the hills, your comment has inspired me with the idea of using putty to make removable waves... It just occurred to me, I have to try it. It's not as nice and detailed as your dioramas, but I needed something modular and resistant to be manipulated and above all, cheap and quick to build. Thanks for your comment, that's why I started the channel, to give and receive ideas! And really thanks to it I have met creators like you who give me a lot of ideas!

That is a bloody good looking table! I just got hold of some 15mm figures (haven't bought any in years) and need to start thinking about terrain for them. This gave me some really good ideas - the cork walls being one of them. Thank you.

XD Actually, here in Spain they are called "todo a cien" (all for a hundred), which no longer makes sense since the Euro replaced the pesetas, and the expression "Todo a 1€" has not been successful and is hardly used at least in my area. We also call them "el chino" (the Chinese) because they are usually run by citizens from China. I do not know the expression used in other countries, not even how it is said in other European countries, so I hope that "a dolar store" can be understood everywhere. This is something that intrigued me when I was editing the video, so I would appreciate comments telling me what it is called in your countries, just out of curiosity and for being able to name it so that it can be understood in other videos. Només per afegir informació... la pintura que faig anar per manualitats-escenografia l'acostumo a comprar (quan m'escapo a Barcelona) en alguna botiga de belles arts. Acostumen a ser més barates que les dels xinos i, en principi, potser millors... clar que el xino el tenim tots a la cantonada de casa i quan fa falta...😀

És veritat que a les botigues de Belles Arts tenen tot de coses que ens farien servei, fins i tot n'hi ha artistes com el Marco Frisoni que fan servir pintures de Belles Arts en comptes de pintures de miniaturisme, que no es limiten a posar un nom més o menys enginyós, si no que a més indiquen la fòrmula dels colors que les composen, per exemple.

Doncs no porta cap tap, i tampoc he pogut treballar cada dia, així que li embolicava la punta amb cinta aïllant i em van aguantar un parell de setmanes sense problemes. Més temps no sé que dir-te, però em va costar 2 ó 3 € el pot, tampoc seria una gran pèrdua. Gràcies pel comentari!

Well, I'm in Spain, the kind of low-priced store here may not have the same products in your country. The ones seen in the video are mainly from Legio Heroica www.legio-heroica.com/ The bad news is that the website has been "temporarily" closed for almost two years. There are other brands that offer similar figures of this era, I for example have used those of Lancer Miniatures lancerminiatures.com/product-category/18mm-war-spanish-succession/ and Khurasan Miniatures khurasanminiatures.tripod.com/marlburian.html that combine quite well with those of Legio Heroica.
