Hey John, Bought the plans and can't wait to make it once my local lumber yard opens up. One request, would you be able to add a cut list for 5'x5' sheets? For some reason my lumber yard sells 5'x5' birch plywood 30% cheaper per sq. foot than 4'x8'.

I was thinking the same thing. They must call him Mr. Plywood or something. Kind of like that TV commercial where the lady gets carried away wrapping her gifts and ends up wrapping everything in the house, including the dog. Everything in his shop is custom made out of plywood. Obviously very talented.

Been pencil-ticking metal straight-edge rulers & trying to erase them clean for years. Heard the term _story stick_ many times from finish carpenters but _never_ thought to ask what it was. Didn't realize I was actually making them in a very crude fashion until you commented about using wood with a good edge as one. Had to Pause the video so the headbanging could commence! Talk about a V8 moment! Thank you! That tidbit alone was worth all the time spent with you and Neil! LOL

Gorgeous work! Quite inspiring! During quarantine, I redesigned my never-been-touched-since-1961 kitchen on paper. You know the original setup.. clothes washer next to stove, clothes dryer next to fridge in the dining room, no dishwasher, galley kitchen with blank, empty wall at the end. Including the dining room, its 9' by 24'. Oh, and no pantry! The original few cabinets were stick built in place and rock solid, but not configured well. I can see this as a cab next to the sink or along blank wall. Something to do next lockdown... rubs hands together happily!!! Edit to add.. also happily a new subscriber!

It’s important to note that this cabinet is prone to tipping with heavy items in it. I would recommend that you include attached security straps or fasteners in the back. I love my copy of this cabinet and it works and looks wonderful. Great video
@WorBlux
@WorBlux Год назад
Most tool drawers are a little tippy. Put the real heavy stuff on the bottom and only open one drawer at a time and it's usually fine. Though if you normally keep this against a wall, a strap or two is pretty easy insurance.

This whole video is like a subliminal advertisement of this channel. The table saw, table saw fence, panel jig, push stick, miter saw station w/ zero clearance insert, workbench, F-style clamps, bar clamps, vice grip clamps, sanding block, router table...all of it home built, and that's just what is actually used in this project. I need to stop watching and start doing. Thanks for the inspiration and plans, John.
